Hi Iqbal, I think the leaders are Robinson and Brown. I think the weak link is Lees, but he will get better because of the players round him including O'Dea. I think O'Dea is pretty damn good to tell you the truth, and he talks to Lees all the way through. They will get better and better. In short: yes, O'Dea is oneof the answers, if we were to drop anyone it would have to be Lees IMO humbly
I havn't read any posts here so I don't know whether its already been mentioned but there is no one on the posts. I noticed it against Middlesborough and we almost conceded against them for it but for a fantastic clearance from Robinson, its amateurish not to have players on the posts, especially the front one. I can't understand it and whether Lonergan made that decision or Colin or what, its just stupid and I think that cost us. Also Lonergan was in no man's land when he came for the ball and realised he wasn't going to get there, poor marking alround, probably Connolly but he wasn't the only one to blame for that. A very very soft goal to give away imo
Compeltely disagree with this. O'Dear has had a few good games on the trott but for me Lees just deals with everything, I am so impressed at how advanced he is at a young age, and I don't just mean technically but alround including his mentality and positioning. If it weren't for him this season we woulda conceded so many more goals, as I said he just deals with the problem. O'Dear has had a good few games but I still wouldn't buy him, I have seen far too much off his sloppyness and mistakes for me to think thats a good idea. He'd be the one I'd drop out of the 4 excluding Connolly
I think Connolly gets a bad rap. Does a whole lot better than many (including SG) give him credit for.
Last season, he was average throughout and made no conspicuous clangers. It just seems that in 2011-12, he's looked disinterested and incompetent, and maybe the pressure of United has been getting to him. The Barnsley game was a final straw for Grayson, and I see that as totally understandable. He ****ed it up there last season as well, and failed to learn from his mistakes. Flat-footed and passionless is how I'd describe his season so far. Once again, the Adam Smith conundrum needs to be revived. Why did we sack off such a promising young defender for this ageing clogger?
Iqbal, Connolly had a good game against West Ham and has had good games since returning to the first team. He seemed to win every header (barring the goal given away) and if it weren't for him we wouldn't have scored. He's comfortable on the ball and seems to help whoever is infront of him quite well. Smith went back because spurs wanted him back, they had injuries and needed a RB
what happened to connolly on saturday?? never seen him win so many headers! even hit the bar and forced green into a good save. is that the same clueless twat ive been watching the rest of the season
Leeds should have put everyone in the box and restricted any West Ham movement and left three men on the line, end of. Smith went back because Kyle Walker got injured and Spurs weren't sure if he would recover quickly, so they needed a right-back cover. Pity, as Smith looks the part and hopefully we get him next season.
Have to agree and either way, it was more clearly a foul than the one given against us for the disallowed goal.
1) News of him going back to Spurs broke on Friday 2) He was left out of the squad on Saturday 3) Spurs player got injured on Sunday 4) Spurs player made recovery and played a week later Yes recalled was official answer but there was more to it than that
Dont know why were analising the west ham game promotion will not be lost on that game we are in good hands now it would have been lost in the 30 games pre warnock at the hands of a really nice but very inexperinced manager at this level namely larry !
