It's much quicker to work out than I expected: Southampton 4/6 Reading 4/6 West Ham 5/6 M'boro 4/7 Brighton 5/5 We're 5/6. Cardiff 6/4 (must be if they were 7/4 before they played us) Birmingham 5/6 Blackpool 6/4 Leeds 6/4
The referee's assessor who is also a City fan who sits near me disagreed. Fryatt was dragged down, but he'd started it.
well done. I knew one was Middlesboro with 4/7 as that was mentioned by the BBC during last sundays game with TWS.
I have to admit I haven't seen it a second time, but I really couldn't see any fouling from Fryatt. He never touches anyone, he just ran with the ball and was being pulled for ages but stayed on his feet. If it was McLean I'd perhaps agree but Fryatt doesn't bother with any of that cheating business. Ever.
I've not seen it a second time either, just at the time I thought Fryatt started pushing him away unfairly before he started pulling at Fryatt. If the defender goes down at that point it's a freekick, he was close enough to give some back so he did and managed to be more effective which lead to penalty calls. At the time it happens you have a go at the officials to try to make them think they've done something wrong in the hope it will influence future decisions, but it's one of those where they've both committed a foul so you're not really in a position to complain that the second foul to occur wasn't given.
Well...somebody seems to be taking us seriously, at last: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,25212,15231_7599048,00.html
i much prefer us to stay under the radar and media spotlight....THEN WHAM BAM just like in 2008. Up we go.
I remember at Barnsley away a few seasons ago, he was in front of the away end doing a piece on camera for Sky and a couple of thousand City fans were singing 'always **** on the south side of the bridge' all the way through it. When he finished, he laughed and gave us all a thumbs up, he does always seem to speak quite highly of us, probably because he's an old mate of Deano's.
An interesting interview with Saints Ricky Lambert on SSN when he said that he / they feel that 4 teams will be contesting he top 2 sports come April. He obviously named Saints - Reading and West Ham who are there already BUT one more will make up the ground quickly... Now which team will that be ???? We may have a better idea after next Tuesdays game with Saints,,, imo.
Two tricky fixtures, should we be looking at 3 wins out of the other 3 though depending how the next two go i suppose.
At the opposite end, we're guaranteed to finish above Pompey, and Coventry can only finish above us on goal difference, so a win on Tuesday (with Donny drawing) makes us mathematically safe. (or a draw if Donny lose the game)
if you are looking at the table on Football365 its wrong. We only have 58 points not 59 as it shows. They have made a mistake that shows us playing Cardiff yesterday!! http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/teams/HullCty.html The spreadsheet I made to try to forecast still has us coming out 4th. It has Cardiff dropping away due to their recent results. A lot of this is down to the relative difficulty of the remaining schedules and form of the teams.
Well if Fryatt did foul then it should have been a free kick to Ipswich. 2 wrongs dont make a right. Fryatt stayed on his feet and got pushed in the back. Thats a penalty...simples. Seen it a few times now and its still a penalty. But is gone now and we move on. Another good week for the Tigers. 4 points and 2 clean sheets in a week will do for me. Others also dropped pounts and we now enter AC/DC week. Postive Nigels Saints and Negative Nigels Festering She ty.!!!! Same again will do nicely for me thanks.
