Just had a quick check and the weather for this weekend is looking a bit dodgy. At the moment its a dry quali and race, but there is rain about with the chance of showers on Friday. Hopefully things will become clearer from Wednesday.
I love how laid back practice is, it's more in depth and technical than the stuff on BBC One as well because the more casual fans don't tend to follow practises. As well as Croft and Davidson I like Ted's updates in P1, it's interesting to hear what the teams have been up to since the last race and what developments they've brought to the car.
Weather: BBC says rain on Thursday, dry on Friday and Saturday, no mention of Sunday because it's only a five day forecast. The ten day forecast still predicts rain on Friday morning, dry on Saturday and Sunday.
I wouldn't trust a five day forecast. Better wait until thursday listening to the weather predictions.
I really can't wait now. I'm starting to prepare my sleeping pattern so I can get an early night Thurdsday and then get up for both practice sessions.
3 lessons is your longest sixth form day??? How many A-levels are you taking?? I did 4 and never had less than 4 lessons a day, and most days it was 5 or 6!
grr, looks like iM going to miss the race. Out for a mates Birthday Saturday night, and have to work Sunday... good ol DTRs allowing me to record it!
I am really looking forward to Ferrari's new front wing. Tombazis said at launch, and repeated recently that they are working very hard on a "very different" FW that should give a lot of performance. Fernando Alonso hinted at this new front wing after Barcelona, but did not confirm whether it would be finished by Melbourne. Now FA (not Fernando Alonso, the guy who has inside info on Ferrari) mentioned that it will be on the car for Melbourne. This would mean that the FW seen at Barcelona was an interim solution, probably just to test out parts of the new design. Having said all that, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/andrewbenson/2011/03/welcome_to_the_first_edition.html What do you think of this? The reception seems mixed judging by the comments at the bottom, I like it though. The old format was becoming stale after two seasons especially as many venues are still only in single figures for Grands Prix hosted, this puts a refreshing twist on it. I agree with the comment saying they should be made to pick one from the last century though.
its really tence *digging out Renault polo shirt and now outdated Kubica and Alonso Renault caps* *Hides Girlfriends Button Mclaren cap*
