Oddy it was majestic.He is the best player I've ever seen by some margin. I can remember people two years ago articulating that Rooney was a better player than Messi.I can't see how that contention even has legs despite the fact that Rooney is pure quality. Messi hasn't even turned 25 yet!...a total joy to watch.
Messi for me is the best player there has ever been. I know it's difficult to compare over the ages but the standard he is maintaining in a league as difficult as the spanish one is quite simply sensational.
Messi is great and all that, but put him in a handicap carrying a team like Chesterfield on a muddy pitch and see how he does. He is no Arkle, thats for sure.
