watched the game three times now, stop the belguim in midfield in the replay , he had a near perfect game ,he seemed to find space all over the pitch with no body quickly closing him down, also could not fathom out why our cf was not replaced with a player with instuctions to hassle the back four for the last 15 mins or so ,with young players on the bench they must be gutted to watch bendy so knackerd and not replaced, if we had a cf who had the hard work and team ethos to match the rest of the team i would be a happy man, its what is missing in the later stages of most games , who knows another man city result is what you might get, but not with a spent herring.
I thought he was lazy Syd, for me he just doesn't match the effort of the other lads on the pitch. At times he just seems to glide around the pitch looking totally uninterested.
Ditto syd but, he was tiring noticeably at the end maybe because he put so much effort in for the team. With Stu sort of a sub for the last 10 minutes would have pegged Everton back a bit. Most worrying thing for me was when Bardsley and O'Shea had a go at each other the defence held yesterday but only just that needs sorting by MON for the game Tuesday and the replay at the end of the month.
But who do you put on if Bendtner goes of? Wickham.....is he ready, or could that have cost us the game? The subs bench was weak..........
I am not the only one who reckons Bendtner has the mobility of a built-I wardrobe. Tbh neither Bendy or Campbell had a great game. Bendtner does have skill, ball control etc. He should be permanently near the oppos penalty box and with the speed of Frazier complementing his abilities, this has not clicked yet. He is often good at holding the ball and bringing others into play, but not yesterday. Still we can hope for a better performance at the SoL...
the weak bench contains all we have got ,wasnt it ji who came on off the same weak bench with fresh legs
I'm not for a moment saying Bendy is my ideal striker and certainly hope we bring better in but I don't think he is the donkey many see. As for Wickham I have to say I thought he did fine when he came on last week.
Cattermoles back for the replay so thats cahill or felliani sorted. Sess back so the other will have to trail him. Sorted. Their two potential midfield threats nullified. Bendy did tire but thought he put a good shift in prior to that. His decision making and timing of releasing the ball needs work on tho. I think Connor would have given distin a hard time for the last twenty mins, he's more of a physical player than bendy and is faster.
myler on to bolster midfield jm up top for ten mins to give out a few bruises , you wont fart about on the ball with his presence
Youre right I reckon if the "youngsters " are receiving specialised coaching on "crossing" etc withGuppy there should be a programme which leaves Bendtner in no doubt of his reponsibilities to hold the ball up and take a few whacks if necessary....We need value for money and not have Bendtner with one eye on his summer move to more gentler climes............(Excuse the pun) If hes not fit...he shouldnt play....
Thought Bendtner did ok at holding the ball up when he had to, for me their main threat came from the left wing as it does week in and week out (and I bloody know, as unfortunately ive seen more of Everton this year than my own team working down here). Everything goes through Baines..get him sorted and we ve sorted main problem
who was on our bench yesterday because i felt around 80 mins we should have made a change but we didnt
Thay Gaye fella who was playing on the left for them seemed to have a nightmare of a game every cross he seemed to put in went out of play. Hope he plays and does the same in the replay.
he was young wasnt he??? if so i rekon he whould be intimidated if he play with the atmosphere we hope for??
I think he one of the most underrated players in the league, every time I have seen him play and especially against us he has been very good.
