This could be an absolute cracker today. Both teams play with good confidence on the ball and like to play attacking football. I think that Swansea could hurt us with their pace but our front 4 are going to be hard to play against if we can control the middle of the park. Wish I was going but alas will have to listen to t somewhere.
Senderos standing off his man again! Overall a poor team performance - half hearted. Dembele and Pog the only serious tryers. Very disappointed.
...........and who is this kneeling down instead of tackling? he's a Fulham "defender"; he's bald; he speaks 17 languages..............
One to forget for Jol guys. Poor management today. Ruiz out of the game, why not replace him in the first half? Diarra was walking the field in the second half. And third one was Senderos... He did the mistake that everyone was afraid of! Could not last 90 minutes.. Left after the 3rd goal!
One to forget for Jol guys. Poor management today. Ruiz out of the game, why not replace him in the first half? Diarra was walking the field in the second half. And third one was Senderos... He did the mistake that everyone was afraid of! But in all fairness to Swansea the played some effective football. Credit to them! One last point. Pog did not receive one decent pass all game. That sums up everything. Could not last 90 minutes.. Left after the 3rd goal!
I not sure I've seen so many perfect bad passes from one team in a game before , stunning really as Fulham are not known for such carelessness . All the best for the rest of your games !!
Swansea today showed how to play simple effective football by continuous pressing. On ther hand Fulham demonstrated how to loose a game by poor passing and over-engineering! Good luck and enjoy a well deserved victory.
Cheers guys, had us down for a 2-1 win today, but didn't expect such a one sided game to be honest, particularly as you've been on such a good run of form, and solid at the Cottage, put it down to one of those games, and I wish you boys all the best for the rest of the season!............... please log in to view this image
The teams performance apart from 3 players, was pathetic. I suppose we will finish what 15/16 at seasons end,and if we should loose our 2 best prospects what then, and judging from Jols ventures into the transfer market, not to sure on his judgement. If Vaj was posting, I can only imagine what his comments would be on his favorite player
Watched the game today and was absolutely embarrassed. No offense to Swansea (truly meant as a Welsh lad) but we shouldn't be losing games like this and so comprehensively too. If our away form was okay to good then we could afford results like these but it isn't so we rely heavily on home form. I have faith in Jol but he's had a mare today. Duff was our best player against Villa and gets dropped instantly because Teacher's Pet Ruiz is fully fit again. Kelly was our worst player on the pitch against Villa and somehow keeps his place at right back despite both Hughes and Baird returning to the squad. If this result means Jol will have woken up from his slumber and now suddenly have the balls to drop Kelly, Senderos and Ruiz then I'm pleased. I'd also start Stockdale against Utd. Schwarzer had another mare today, and although I still rate him higher than Stockdale, he needs to know that his position in the team is not untouchable. Team to play Utd Stockdale Baird Hughes Hangeland Riise Murphy Diarra Dembele Dempsey Duff Pogrebnyak
Bandit a few good points. I would bring Etuhu in the formation above. Diarra will be run over be utd. He lacks sharpness.
Bandit,of the points you made, the inclusion of Stockdale somewhat worries me, his lack of area command is a real problem, and at premiership level,we do not have the time him to gain further experience on match days. Apart from the Pog (on loan),I am not to impressed with Jols purchases.
Total disaster yesterday but full credit to Swansea who worked their socks off. I think Jol was was experimenting today making Hangelund captain and leaving the oldies Murphy and Duff on the bench. To be fair I don't think it was that one sided especially first half but when the second one went in we totally lost it and was very difficult to keep watching. Swansea gave us no time on the ball and we just could not play our normal style of football. We did try but it resulted in rushed, poor passes all over the field. Have to give full credit to Swansea they were far the better team and the fans in good voice throughout the game. That chapel singing practice has proved beneficial after all.
Do you not remember the Utd game last season in which Stockdale saved us a point? (saving a penalty at 2-1 down) I think he is experienced enough. Would he have made those two errors Mark has made in the past two games? I'm not so sure. Mark for me is still number one but surely his position must be under some sort of threat if he keeps making mistakes?
Don' t know how well your current keeper has played this season but I could have stopped that last goal . Just a Fulham blip IMO . A lot of clubs say to us that they had a bad game when we win , this is the first time I believe it . I wouldn't want to be the next few clubs to play Fulham , just a hunch .
I think it was a mixture of Swansea's best game (Routledge and Graham have said so on Twitter) and our worst game (and there have been a few bad ones) Apart from the Man Utd spanking, we haven't really deserved our disappointing results at home (Blackburn, Tottenham, Everton etc) so this one is a bitter pill to swallow.
