    Christmas is not a religious event in my family. It's about the family getting together and getting **** faced. The word Jesus is not muttered once.

    I disagree. IF you a genuinely religious or follow a certain belief, then I dont see an issue with being against something
    When I say against I dont mean intolerant, eg I can be against homosexuality but not homosexuals

    But the issue isnt/wasnt that. The isssue is sticking to your beliefs. In this case the Church is anti gay marriage (right or wrong isnt the debate)
    The reason is based on scriptures/beliefs etc. Then IMO the same should apply to suicide victims

    Picking and choosing is making a mockery

    All religions have been doing that for hundreds or thousands of years so by that logic ALL religions are a mockery <ok>

    Picking and choosing is part of life. Surely if you're religious, you think God gave us food to eat. Therefore it would be ungodly to like chocolate but not like sprouts. Do religious people like every kind of food?

    Not sure where you are going with this. let me go back to the initial post

    Suicide in religion is a NO NO, so is gay marriage

    Its not religion that picks and chooses, it has said both are wrong

    The priests/imams etc dont follow both, they are ****s
