    Barclays Premier League

    18th Mar 2012

    KO 13:30

    Ground: Molineux Stadium

Manchester United travel to struggling Wolves on Sunday looking to make the most of Manchester City's inactivity and pull four points clear at the top of the table.

A run of just one win in 14 has sent the hosts tumbling into trouble, with only eight points collected during that time.

A 4-1 reverse against United started the slump, with an alarming wobble having brought about an end to Mick McCarthy's tenure at Molineux.

Terry Connor is the man charged with turning the ship around and he will take heart from Wolves' home record against the Red Devils.

Two wins have been taken from seven previous Premier League meetings, including the last fixture at Molineux back in February 2011.

United are flying at the moment, though, with 22 points picked up in their last eight outings.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side may have crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday, but that means they can now focus their full attention on the defence of their Premier League crown.

The Red Devils have only ever had more points at this stage of the season once before, in 2006/07, and in Wayne Rooney they boast an in-form striker who has notched seven times in his last four top flight matches.

    Team news

Wolves caretaker coach Connor has no fresh injury problems to contend with heading into the weekend.

Midfielder Karl Henry is the only player sidelined and he hopes to return from his hamstring injury for the match at Norwich on 24th March.

Connor has to decide whether to recall skipper Roger Johnson, with Wolves having leaked nine goals in three games since he dropped the centre-back.

Antonio Valencia could return to the Manchester United starting XI after travelling to Spain in midweek but not playing in the Red Devils' 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao.

Phil Jones is still suffering with flu, while Brazilian midfielder Anderson is expected to be sidelined for up to five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs were all taken off as a precaution in Bilbao, but all should be ready to face Wolves.

    Possible starting XIs

Wolves: Hennessey, Zubar, Bassong, Johnson, Ward, Hunt, Davis, O'Hara, Edwards, Jarvis, Fletcher.

Man Utd: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

    Referee: Anthony Taylor

Sky Bet odds: Wolves 8/1, Draw 4/1, Man Utd 1/3

    Whats up with Nani fellas?

Is he actually injured or being punished?

I see Berba not even travelling, could have been useful in these type of games IMO

Fergie said that he missed the Bilbao game due to an ankle injury.

I did hear a rumour that he had a bust up with Fergie but nothing confirmed.

A win in any form today will be brilliant.

Put all the pressure on City.
