I'll be amazed if this happens.
Surely this would lead to the death of Scottish football.

personally think it would make scottish football a lot more interesting, with rangers being downgraded a lot now, the rest of the teams are more or less equal and therefore could be more interesting

But it would make it just like the Welsh leagues with absolutely no outside interest. Clubs are already struggling up there, take Celtic out and revenue streams would plummet.

it whould kill scottish football as it is because celtic will walk to the league every year.... i hope they get to join league one because it will still be hard for them to get into the premier league and if they do get in it will bring even more money into the game and will be good for it IMO

Personally, I couldn't give a toss about Scottish football. I hope them and their bigoted fans don't get their own way.

    Why league 1?

Surely it would have to be the conference or league 2 for me.

    Why league 1?

If it happens it should be league 2..

What would give them a divine right to come in higher than, Swindon, Bristol Rovers, Port Vale, Bradford etc?

So your saying you don't care but then go on to say you hope they don't get their own way. That and the fact you posted kind of shows you do care.
    Cheers for that brilliant input...<ok>

Stuff them. A big resounding no from me.

Does someone have to drop out to make way for them. What about the teams who have battled for promotion from League1, League 2 or the Conference.

    No stuff them.

I think League two is fair

they then have a minimum of 3 years of hard work to get into the league...three years to get there finances in order because there players atm wont want to be there for the hard slog so they will have to bring in new players who will help them up ... they will bring money to the outher teams (with the massive attendences) and it is a good idea

Couldn't agree more, I just think it's unfair for all the other Scottish teams.
As for Scotland. They want independence! Crack on.

I was talking about this the other day. Rangers would be a better prospect by potential buyers if they were playing in England. The English F.A should offer them both a deal, come to us but start in League 2.

I don't see a down side for English football if this were to happen.

I do mate, it means that 2 English clubs, who have probably been around for 100 years or so are going to lose their league status which could be absolutely crucial to their survival with the way football and finance is now. No matter how small a club is, they will still have loyal and fanatical supporters who would be devastated to see their club relegated on the back of this and we should not over-look that fact.

Can't happen because they belong to the Scottish F.A. and cannot affiliate to the English F.A. This is because of FIFA's rules. The only exception are the Welsh clubs already in the leagues as they predate FIFA's ruling

they can increase the league capasity for 2 years and then for two years relegate one more team that means teams have a chance to stay up just the same

Great information which I was not aware of <ok>

It doesn't mean that clubs couldn't put a case forward for change and apply to FIFA, or does it?
