not so long ago there was talk off europe or maybe finish 6th, nice while it lasted but now its gone tits up, then the slump came and finally that shower off **** on sunday came and its not so rosy (even though were still 9th).
i expect the following question if asked in feb would get a different response to now.
    forget the circumstances surrounding it.

did safc **** up letting bent go?

even an off form bent would probably muster more than a single shot
try an be honest cheers lads

No. When it turned out what kind of a person he is we're better off without him. Money grabbing turncoat.

It's not a simple question. No, Sunderland didn't **** up. I think Bent's mind was set on it and all Niall could do is get the best price possible for him. Which he did.

If your question is would I like Bent to be playing for us right now - BLOODY RIGHT I WOULD !!!!

The only reservation I would have in taking him back is how much Capello has screwed with his head. Bent's an instinctive player. He doesn't give much of a toss for anything except net, net, net. If Capello's trying to make a player like that be what he's not, he might ruin what was already there in abundance. With a player like that, the best you can do is leave him alone to do what he does. His failings? - Forget them, take the goals and say thank you.

I don't recall Bent being prolific outside the area, comm. Our problem on Sunday was that we couldn't get the ball into the ****ing box. Unless you do that, it doesn't matter who you have up front.

In my opinion, our best performance this season was away to Chelsea and that didn't involve Bent! I suppose that what I'm trying to say is that our alarming loss of form is down to a lot more factors than Bent leaving us.

For me no to did we **** up with Bent, he was playing poorly for weeks before going but back to a 4-4-2 is needed with Gyan and Welbeck in the striker mode.

We then come to the next questions,

Do we stick with Hendo in the middle or go with Cattermole and Muntari?
Do we then use Hendo on the wing or go with Sess?
Do we bring back Steed to create chances for the front 2?

Well, I agree and disagree. Our best performance was undoubtedly away to Chelsea - but we haven't reproduced it 24 times. If we could do that regularly, I'd be delighted that Bent left. You're right in saying our loss of form is down to more than him leaving. But a loss of form with Bent means you still pick up an odd goal, an odd point here and there. This loss of form without Bent means we get nowt at all.

I'd still rather have him than not have him.

Well from reading the match reports in todays paper, it seem's Mr Bent didn't manage a single shot against Wolves, although i watched the highlights on Football First & he should have had a penalty though for a foul inside the box & the ref gave a free kick, it sound's like the rules haver changed for last weekend & the Football authorities have failed to let us know that a foul outside of the or near the box will be a Penalty & a fould inside the box will now be a freekick

Can't argue with that.Still since he has left he ia a petulant, flouncing moppet with the IQ of a packet of Mini-Cheddars facing relegation with the Villans.

Sess,Sully,Hendo and Catts wiil eventually make the chances for Gyan and Wellbeck. I just wish hope it comes sooner rather than later.

My opinion is that Bent wouldn't make a difference at the minute, as weain't creating chances.

Wellbeck and Gyan are both more likely than Bent to create a chance out of nothing, in my opinion.

The **** run has nowt to do with Bent, more a weakening in other areas.

£24million was fantastic business, simple as that.

Getting shot of Bent was good business, but the timing was wrong.Once we start playing our full-strength midfield in their rightful positions,we will fly!!
