Lets not let it detract from what was one more very good day for our team, semi final draw coming up and we are still in the hat.

In the summer we all got excited with the signings made but a little sad about the lack of that big name striker, we then endured a few months of torture, the why and who is unimportant now but our good signings became to many, mainly from outside, a group of squad players, past their best, never good enough and failures.

Well yesterday that motley crew, minus a captain and star player, kept us in the cup and gave us an excellent chance of a trip to Wembley. The same motley crew are also not far from taking us to a top 10 or better finish, maybe they are not that motley after all.

What a few weeks ago looked like one more summer rebuild is now looking like a slight alteration with a few out and a few in. I can see MON looking at the spine in the summer, CB/CM/CF being his main buys, maybe more than one of each.

Lets hope for what not long ago looked fairy tale land, bringing in new players for out European adventure, right now we have a few ways in and could even finish below our beloved neighbours but still be the only north east team in Europe, how satisfying would that be.

Just think how good we'd be if we actually had a strikeforce...

The midfield and defence have worked wonders lately, but striker wise we are weak....and has to be MoN first priority..

As for the cup........get practising the penalties, as it could go all the way in the replay.

I think for the semi final, it would just be split 50/50 so 45,000 each. No problems there.

However, for the final, all the hangers-ons, arse lickers and FA ****ers take over the day and a far reduced allocation will be given to fans of the two actual finalists.

All it really means of course, is that the scum sucking touts make a killing from genuine football fans, desperate to see their team play, by getting tickets from all the above and then ripping off fan accordingly.

The whole thing stinks and has done for decades but nothing will ever be done.
