I wouldn't mind seeing something like this at Blacburn

    Mig
    Bardo/O'Shea/Turner/Bridge
    Campbell/Vaughan/Colback/McClean
    Wickham/Bendtner

would you drop seb?? i thought he played well today, and he always gets back to help bardsley out.

couple of his free kicks were spot on (but his corners are ****e now for some reason - stop blasting them to the far side of the box!!). maybe a rest would reinvigorate him though.

i'd drop gardner - i really rate the lad but he was sloppy in possession today, needlessly, vaughan and colback (totally underrated i reckon, he knits us together well and is key away from home) will keep the ball much better.

Just a rest for Seb mate, think a weeks breather will do him good.

Looked tired from 50mins for me.

If you'd asked me a few weeks ago who I'd rather have in the team out of Gardner and Colback it would have been Gardner everytime, I have always liked Colback but didn't think he did enough on the pitch, however I've watched him closely the last few weeks and I'm completely transformed for some reason. I think the lad could have a big future here, sure he needs to ad things to his game but he has the time. He already has a solid first touch and passing range, add to that he gives 110% every game and you can see he is trying to add an attacking side to his game when he can. He also has something which our other cms don't a bit of pace and good acceleration.

For me he has jumped ahead of Gardner, Meyler and maybe even Vaughan in my estimations and possibly even Mons as well.

I said on the 'player of the year' thread he was the 'most improved'.

Gone is the sideways tentative play, replaced with a lad looking for a pass, looking to drive the team on.

He's coming along superbly, way superior to Henderson already, IMO.

He kept fellaini (sp?) really quiet in the first half which isn't an easy job when you think of the size difference.

I'd still like to see more forward runs from him as he's quite quick and nimble when he goes through the gears, agree he's better than Hendo.

He can shoot as well, although he sometimes kinda changes his mid half way through and shanks it, he had one today.

    He'll be a canny player.

aye, given time i think he will come very good, i don't mind that he doesn't always look to ping hollywood passes up the pitch, recycling possession can be just as important. away from home, where we need to keep the ball and break down the opposition he's been invaluable.

    Yep,

Him and Vaughan keep the ball as well as anyone, better than anyone in fact.
