siggy is hot property now and will be wanted by a number of clubs, i dont think we can compete with what other clubs will offer for him and we will never be able to compete with the wages he will be offered.....Its a pity we never bought the guy when we had a chance,......so unless he wants to stay on less wages and his club dont go for the highest bidder then i think he will be playing football elsewhere next season, I cant see us breaking the bank or wage policy for him and i think thats right, stick to the rules we have i say.....

Good effort with a match day thread KJ <ok>
Awesome show from the players today!! i thought routledge while looking less spectacular than dyer produces more end product and im glad he is getting games and making goals, siggy is the reason we have stayed up though and we must not forget how 1 player has made such a difference after xmas.

Fulham tried to play like swansea but wernt good enough to do it, i thought they were a bit arrogant to try and equal what we did but it soon blew up in their face.

DG worked hard yet again did nothing wrong but i would like to see Luke Moore have a start in this team with Gylfi and routledge, wayne is producing quality balls into the box on a regular basis and though he doesnt run around players like nathen i feel there is a no frills approach when it matters.

Monk was solid but luckily had nothing to really defend, Joe allen and leon britton absolutly run the midfield, if Joe Allen was English we would be talking well over £20m quid for him now and he would also be in the England squad, he really is that good!

Is the Prem league this easy ??? my view is that we have shown alot of players in this league to be absolutly average and they are earning money far above their limited talent! i think we have exposed the premier league for what it is ,which is a league full of big time charlies that think they are better than they actually are ! there is no way Swansea should really be 8th in the prem league is there ?? maybe we are just better than we give ourselves credit for i dont know!

All credit to our boys for exposing and taking the piss out of the so called "best league in the world" football i mean proper football is the winner, people will look at us and now see that its possible to do great things with great players that dont cost a great amount of money !!
The longer we keep taking the piss out of teams the quicker the penny will drop and people will see that you dont need to pay £80k a week for ccc standard players that have good agants and nothing else !!

wow, credit where its due, it seems rodgers is getting you to finish as strongly as you started, and wont let the season fizzle out.

3 points away from home at a fortress like craven cottage is no mean feat, 3-0 even better.

the only negative i can think of is that you're 3 points from 14th, but if you keep going like this then theres no reason why the swans cant finish top of the mid table pack <ok>

Glad you liked my thread, NJ. Took me ages!!! <laugh>

In fairness, I didn't know you can't do split threads any more, so maybe that's why Scott didn't do one.

Think the hardest part was actually getting to the premier league, once there and we got our first win , we settled down and proved we can keep up with the big boys of the league. I can scarcely believe that we are safe with 9 games to go.

For those doubters who criticised the swans because our style of play and no plan B at the start of the season, they have a lot of egg on their faces, we have done it on a fraction of what has been spent by all the clubs in the league, with the exception of Norwich.

I can really see us kicking on now, and we can see a small club like stoke can achieve without spending hugely, their style of play is awful but there is no denying that they are now an established team here.

playing for £3/4 of a million for each remaining game is a huge incentive to keep the players on top of their game. <ok> think of all that lovely lolly in bonuses that increases the higher we finish.....mmmmmmmmmm

Crackin win today but I think you guys are missing a point. Scott has had a hugely positive effect on our forum and has given top respect with his threads. If he has gone, then it is this forum's loss.

Hurry back Scott and respect to KJ for keeping it going

TBH i hope the players get a lions share of the money in bonuses they would have earnt it !! make no mistake our season turned around for the better when siggy walked in through the door,we all knew what was needed in our team but none of us ever thought we would get the perfect player in that position, siggy will sign for us in the summer as long as hoffinheim play fair, i have a feeling that siggy will push the move as he seems a level headed boy and knows that he will be a focal point of the team and looked after very well, caulker also coming out and saying that he would have no problem returning here tells me that all the players are buying into something very special.

I have to say that we have been very lucky with injuries this season too, we have had the odd one or two but nothing that has streached us too far, for this great credit must go to the back room team and Brenden rodgers for changing things over the busy Xmas period. This could be the begining of something very special in south wales and if we continue to grow on and off the field we may see a solid base being built at our club that will last for a very long time.

Its hard not to get exicited and carried away but i think as all swans fans know we have had some difficult times in days gone by, this is probably the best time ever to be a swans fan, this season for me will go down as the greatest in the clubs history, doing it under tosh was good but what im witnessing now is probably some of the best football being played by unfancied players in the whole of Europe, we are making a fool of high wages and big time charlies and i ****in loves it !! <ok>

    Agree with that, NJ.

Don't think Scott has gone (at least I hope not). Just hadn't spotted a thread.

Brilliant win today...one of the best performances of the season, home and away. I think any bonus that the club earns above what we would get for finishing 17th should be spent on Siggy in transfer fee and wages :) :) :)

Well if thats true Dai i got no problem with it, its one way of redressing the balance of crazy high wages, look at what QPR are reported to be paying SWP and Barton! about 60-80k a week !! ffs !! they aint worth a quarter of that at the moment. Our boys are looking every inch the technical top of the class football player.

Gylfi has been the signing of the season for me, turned us from average in the last 3rd to dangerous in the last 3rd!!

Swans had 62% possesion against fulham according to talksport who mentioned that they dont think another team has ever been so dominant at craven cottage.
    Leon britton 96% completion rate.
swans had about 630 passes to fulhams 340 (give or take a few)

very impressive stuff and makes you so proud to be a jack :)

As long as Routledge & Sinclair create like that , I couldn't care less if they ever score . Britton & Allen were amazing , Sig was super & not just the scoring . Defense was superb from start to finish , including " Capt Monk " !! Vorm was norm , perfect . Graham worked his ar#e off . Fantastic subs by Rodgers Lol !! . What a team !!!!

great to see monk playing, he was superb and seeing as he has not featured much this season shows that rodgers has got the training routine spot on....

    This.

Another Norwich fan saying well done. Great result for you today. We should both have earned another shot at this thing next year, and I feel a bit of mutual respect on the way it's been done on limited resources, but with exciting young managers at the helm. This in direct contrast to last year's Championship winners. They're a global brand, don't you know?

Anyway, enough sarcasm. Well done Jacks, keep it going. <ok>

Yes i will be very happy to see us and Norwich stay up, it will show that you dont have to spend stupid money on players and that given the right environment Britiish players can show they are as good as anybody else, both these managers have done a great job and showed faith in their players, QPR will eventually get it right,if they stay up this year they will be hard to beat next year! from a purely selfish point of view i would like to see them relegated as it will mean one less strong team to compete against next season.

Good luck to Norwich, i think we are both safe now, its going to be an intresting second season !! <ok>
