Ano ther is only 8 games 2 go and cud have waited til end of season but I'm bored and decided to ask what ratings do our players deserve this season. I am going in order by squad numbers lol

Harper - 7 - Been good for most of season despite Saturday's blunder
Coloccini - 8 - Been outstanding baring the odd mishap
Enrique - 8 - Thort bowt a 9 but thort that was bein 2 nice, he is class
Nolan - 7 - He not a great player but our top scorer and deserves a good rating
Campbell - 3 - Was OK when he came in for odd game earlier in season, now he just ****
Williamson - 7 - Solid player, probably just backup next season
Barton - 9 - Player of the year, Crossing, setpieces etc all class
Guthrie - 4 - Not as bad as Campbell, but he is poor in Prem
Lovenkrands - 5 - Scored odd goal, but hasnt really got going
Simpson - 8 - Our most improved player this season - very reliable
Perch - 2 - Even worse than Campbell imo. What an awful player
Gosling - 10 - Hasnt put a foot wrong all season ;) haha
R Taylor - 6 - Scored 2 crackers in league cup, gives 100%, deserves more of a chance
Smith - 4 - He not upto standard, dont think he will play again for us
Jonas - 7 - He been hit and miss as usual, but is always a scary player for oposition
Best - 7 - Never thought he would come good, still dont think he that good but done wel
    Ireland - 10 - See Gosling ;)
    Ameobi - 6 - Scored 7 goals so not 2 bad, but is a useless ****
Tiote - 9 - Up there with Barton for player of season, a beast of a player
Krul - 7 - Did well when given his chance, was unlucky to be dropped for Harper
S Taylor - 4 - Very disapointed this season, but I believe in him and hope he comes good
Ranger - 7 - Does really well when comes off bench, why not start him?
Ferguson - 7 - Not played many games but has been class when played
Ben Arfa - 7 - Obviously not played much, but from what we seen he is world class!
    Kuqi - 6 - Mint ;) haha

Obviously there has been 1 or 2 more playing this season:
Carroll - 8 - Deserves it 2 be fair, awesome when he was here
Routledge - 5 - Not Prem class at all!
Xisco - 6 - Not given a chance, probs cos he doesnt do well in training, wont play again

    Players away on loan:
Forster - 7 - Done well for Celtic I thought, even though some say different
LuaLua - 7 - Did mint for Brighton before leg break
Kadar - 6 - Not played much for Huddersfield, he a gooden tho
Donaldson - 5 - I been to some Hartlepool matches and he ****e to be honest
Tavernier - 7 - Done well for Gateshead, did well for us when he got chance
Edmundsson - 6 - He did well for Gateshead aswell, but not sure if he good enough
Grieve - 3 - Stockport worst team in all the leagues, he been bad aparently!
Tozer - 6 - He been good for Northampton aparently

    Thoughts?

  2. Harper - 7 - Very good but not been here all season
Coloccini - 8 - Very good, did little wrong.
    Enrique - 8 - Great
Nolan - 8 - He IS a great player. Top scorer. Been vital to us.
    Campbell - 1
Williamson - 6 - Not been that impressed to be honest.
Barton - 9.5 - Man of the season
Guthrie - 5 - not played that often, but he's a decent player. Can deliver well sometimes.
Lovenkrands - 4 - Missed too many chances. Weak player at this level.
    Simpson - 7.5 - Great player.
Perch - 3 - Not absolutely abysmal, but but pretty poor.
R Taylor - 5 - Played a part in the cup games, poor tackling gets him booked and needs to learn to stay on his feet. He could have had 3 red cards in 3 games.
Smith - 5 - Unfair criticism at times. Good, aggressive, committed player, that can be a physical force in midfield.
Jonas - 6.5 - Performances improved of late, but no where near enough productivity.
Best - 8 - Has stepped up to the vacancy of a prolific goal scorer. 6 goals in 10 games. Excellent.
Ameobi - 4 - Works ok as a target man, but laziness and being ****e isn't forgotten after an impressive derby day display.
Tiote - 9 - Two poor performances recently, but overall been oustanding. Better technically that Barton, but just not quite as vital. Brilliant player.
Krul - 7 - Not as good as Harper but did well in his time in goal.
    S Taylor - 5 - Is a good player but hasn't played enough.
Ranger - 6 - Needs to score but has been very exciting to watch.

Everyone else hasn't played enough or aren't at the club anymore.

A bit disappointing. I haven't seen him play but I've been reading match reports and stuff and he's been completely anonymous. No goals, no assists. I wondered why they kept playing him, I thought he must be doing something right but you've just confirmed he hasn't. If can't cut it in League One it's safe to say he'll never make it for us.

Contract runs out in the summer as well, so doubt we'll extend it. I have never really rated him.

Does anyone know when Vuckic is back from injury? He went to Italy as they thought he'd be fit for the knock-out stages, but he still isn't back. He seems to be a bit injury prown.

Maybe Back and Raring to Go! was so BT alike with his article and summarising that BT was gobsmacked and lost for words.

Yeah Donaldson needs a goal to be fair. If he gets one maybe he will do better. Hartlepool play long balls to their short strikers for some reason lol

I think they keep playing him cos he is better than Boyd, Behan etc. but still not good enough

I agree about Vuckic seeming a bit injury prone

Hope it gets sorted cos he just signed 5 and half year contract lol

Vuckic has had quite a lot of injuries already which is worrying.
Seen him last year in youth cup V Villa where he was immense and that was after being out for something like 3months
he could be one hell of a player and its no surprise that european big guns have been monitoring him.

Donaldson can play a sort of DM role as well as striker so it wouldnt surprise me if he isnt getting goals or assists. That type of player are generally the most underrated as well.

    Harper - 7 - Solid as ever
    Coloccini - 8 - Brilliant
    Enrique - 8 - A class act
    Nolan - 7 - A great leader
    Campbell - Doesn't really deserve a rating
Williamson - 6 - Average, undeserving of the OTT praise he has had
Barton - 9 - Outstanding, player of the season
    Guthrie - 6 - Not given a real change
Lovenkrands - 5 - Feel sorry for him in a way, good movement but no one to pick him out
Simpson - 8 - ROCK as in solid as a!
Perch - 4 - Unlucky, thrown in at the deep end and has had the odd decent game but not really good enough
R Taylor - 6 - Decent player but hasn't really got enough game time, was cracking against Bolton before he saw red
Smith - 5 - Works hard but not the best in the world
Jonas - 7 - I'm one of the few who rates him and he's had a pretty good season
    Best - 7 - Surprised everyone but me ;)
Ameobi - 11 - Doesn't look bothered except in the derbies, but as those games are all that matter - give that man a testimonial!
Tiote - 8 - Far better than we thought he would be, needs to work on his concentration but still superb despite the odd mistake
Krul - 7 - Solid when called upon, I still favour Harper SLIGHTLY
S Taylor - 7 - He has been solid in the very few games he has played at CB, still our best partner for Colo, **** at RB
Ranger - 6 - Shocking misses, apparent poor attitude but a great cameo or two
Judas - 8 - Was class for us if we're honest
Routledge - 6 - Good player, just lacks confidence

The others haven't had enough game time to be judged but special mention to HBA who will be a star for us and Kadar and Ferguson who are ready for the first team in my opinion.

Harper - 8 - Mr consistent (bar stoke game)
Coloccini - 8.5 - Ashamed to say I was one of the people who thought he was ****
    Enrique - 8 - Top, top player
Nolan - 8 - My favourite skipper since al hung up his boots
    Campbell - Generous 3
Williamson - 7 - had a decent season but nothing spectacular
Barton - 9 - Why the hell is this man not playing for england!!!!!!!!
Guthrie - 4 - for what he's done this year, with a bit of a chance could be much better
Lovenkrands - 6 - shows signs of being decent then forgets EVERYTHING!!
Simpson - 7 - Good player, can only get better!!
    Perch - 3 - worse than ****
R Taylor - 5 - Haven't seen the best of him this year, average and injured
Smith - 5 - Love his temprament but nothing left in the tank i'm afraid
Jonas - 8 - Give him a compass and he'd be a world beater, love him!
Best - 7 - plugged a gap admirably, PL standard (just)
Ameobi - 6 - Really wish he'd look like he can be arsed, frustrating to watch but loyal
Tiote - 1 -awful, bloody awful!!! trust me united, liverscum, chelsea etc you dont want him messing up your play with his immense strength, great football brain and awesome ability- he's dump
Krul - 6 - great potential, but i'm always worried when he plays
    S Taylor - 6 - solid
Ranger - 6 - see that rectangular thing with the net in it, put the ball in there and you could be great, has added a lot though from the bench this year
Amy - 9 - miss him, but ****ing hate him, potentially world class the bastard
Routledge - 6 - been ok, could do with him now to be honest!!!

what this exercise has achieved for me (apart from kill ten minutes on a dull as **** tuesday) is show that we all rate our first XI pretty highly, and with a couple of canny purchases we could be a very decent premiership side<cheers>
