Already changed my profile to highlight that as soon as I saw it. It just proves that with sheer bloodymindedness and an inability to accept truth or rationality you can grind people into some sort of resigned submission.
The gay wedding between him and Pope went sour when Pope ran off with a smooth-skinned latino boy from Puerto Rico in San Francisco's "Castro District" What a ****ing surprise though; Rangers beat Celtic and this auld ugg-boot wearing closet case shows up on time like a ****ing solar eclipse.
Another deflection from the fact your team was beaten... This must have made you feel better. Help that complex you got.
Did you post the article on Graham Spiers? I think you did.... Is this attempt at a double deflection?
If you care to track back through this thread you will see I just posted it, I made no comment upon it's content either in the positive or the negative. I simply asked a question "is Graham Spiers right?". I'm guessing I can put you down for a "No" then?
I would say Graham Speirs is broadly correct.... Rangers do have a problem with bigotted chants. I would say Celtic have the same problem BUT would say Rangers have a marginally bigger problem....hard to quantify how much. I liked how you jumped to the question to again.....deflect. My point in my original thread was to shed light on that I think most fans Gers or Tic sing these songs to wind up the opposing fans. I think the majority of people who sing the songs dont give a damn... Doesnt make it right, no - agreed there....but the question is does that make you a bigot. Surely bigots have to do more than wind up the opposing fans. Trying have semi intelligent conversation here - so dont come back with ****y dismissive comment unless its either its a riposte, wind up or a intelligent jibe. Either that you could quietly slip away...
Quietly slip away? I don't do that. It's refreshing to hear someone of a Rangers persuasion actually admit that Spiers may have a point. I take my hat off to you.
it is refreshing indeed. I just don't know what bigoted songs you might be referring to when you mention Celtic fans. I am not throwing down a gauntlet or anything like that, I just don't know what you view as bigoted. I don't believe that there is a problem at all at Celtic in that regard. I am not burying my head in the sand, I just don't hear them or see them. I think the songs and chants that Dev finds unpalatable are something else entirely. That is his prerogative and I can only state my own case as I see it, but I will absolutely defend those songs against accusations of being bigoted.
I never said the songs about the IRA are sectarian, they are political I believe but I still personally find them offensive but I can fully understand why others don't.
That is the point i was making Dev. our disagreement over these songs would be conducted with different perameters. I can accept that you hold that viewpoint.
