Goodison is always a tough place to go to, i'd be happy with a draw, extatic with a win. Prediction Everton: 1 Arsenal: 1
It is the best. No other goal this season was better then that. The way he struck the ball on the volley was as perfect as it gets.
Coleman and Rodwell(as usual) out injured for us. Might see Barkley as Cahill is a doubt to apparently. though I imagine Barkley will be on the bench and hopefully introduce himself to the world like another former blue did against Arsenal.
I think we will take this game 4-0. An early goal is the key. Everton are very organised but if we score early they will have to come and we will annialate them maybe 5 or 6 I think. They have played twice since we play and have a replay and possible semi final in the cup. Their confidence also seems to have gone. I am predicting a comfortable arsenal win. If we dont score early then we could find it hard to break them down and it could go either way...
You'll do well to score 4. We've conceded the least amount of shots on our goal of all teams in the league and have the 4th best defence.
I think scoring four is a bit overly optimistic. Personally I think it'll be a classic 0-1 to the Arsenal
Tactics will be important here. Arsenal should play at the highest tempo possible & make Everton run as they'll be more fatigued. Try and make a breakthrough, and if not, after 70mins bring on Oxo & some more pace (Benayoun & Park?) and really push at them.
That RVP goal is just epic. I like the way he scores then has a quick glance towards the linesman as if to say " yeah ? ....dont even think about it . " Then celebrates , hahahahahah .
My prediction is 2-1 to Arsenal, we will go 1-0 down, and get 2 goals in the second half, we won't play a very good game in the first half and will go a goal down in that half, in the second half we will play somewhat better and get the 2 goals. i'd be glad to be wrong and see us play a good game, dominate, score first, and win comfortably, but my self predictions usually turn out right. I actually once predicted perfection when we played Everton back in our 05 season, I predicted we would win 4-1, and predicted every single Arsenal scorer, and it all happened, :-D.
That is a good point, didn't that into consideration, we have a good mini break, haven't played since last monday, over a week of rest, while Everton had a tough weekend Cup game, so we really should be more fresh and go at them.
