Well… …with all free practice sessions over, it is obvious that Ferrari are in real trouble. I would not be surprised to see one of their cars (Massa: I'm looking at you) failing to reach Q3. On the other hand, Mercedes are looking pretty hot with Schumacher presenting a mild threat to his rather better team-mate. It will be interesting to see how Rosberg deals with this situation (again), especially if - as may be the case - the Mercedes is a genuine top three car, or title contender. The question marks over Mercedes' legality are irritating, but it could be that Ross Brawn and his team have out-manoeuvred the others again. However, I do not believe we have seen the full potential from Red Bull: Vettel was exploring the limits during the end of FP3 on the harder tyre and may regret discovering them too late; but he did not get chance to do a low-fuelled, soft-tyred run - leaving the probability (rather than possibility) that they have not yet shown their hand. Grosjean has impressed me in the Renault but Raikkonen is uncomfortably far behind. (Shades of Schumacher?). But there must surely be some smiles in their camp. Of the top flight, I've not yet included McLaren. Well, the car looks pretty good. How it really stacks up against Red Bull and Mercedes is going to be a close call. Button is looking solid as a rock and Hamilton is (dare I say) driving his heart out! My hunch for pole? - Vettel or Hamilton.
Aaaaaaaaah... those extra hours did me well, luckily my brother was silly enough to still be awake at this time and watched FP3. I swear the older you get the more you enjoy sleep and I'm in my "prime" at the moment yet I'm being outdone by a kid. The more I look at the times the less I flipping know the actual order at the front ffs lol, it just looks tight with Mclaren, RBR and Mercedes. I give up! JUST GIVE US QUALI 3 FFS!!!
It's so hard to say right now... I still think Vettel has some in the tank but McLaren and Merc seem to be pretty hot too. I'm not convinced that anybody has shown their hand still, so who knows what's going to come of qualifying? As a Hammy fan, I'm optimistic that he's found his mojo again, but even if he has... It looks like the competition has the potential to be fierce. Blimey... can qualifying hurry up please?
Quali will start a little bit later than expected, there was a red flag in the V8 Supercar race for a little while. EDIT: Strike that, I thought quali started at 4:00
Good job Hamilton's got his head in the game. o-oh. Massa 16th and Alonso under investigation. Raikkonen 18th.
If the HRT get to race, i am going to find Johnny Herbert and kill him to the death. They are just death traps around here.. Good stuff by Vergne, easily faster than Ricciardo. Think he could be something maybe?
Did anyone else notice that the timing is updated 11 seconds ahead of Buzzin' SKY stream? The wonder of digital transmission delay !!
Karthikeyan is just an absolute knob. I hope Ricciardo doesn't get a penalty as he and Schumi are under investigation.
