    Most sports have an element of risk, including motor sports, boxing, football etc
    Even things like ballet mess up the dancers long term, I knew a 30 odd year old ex ballet dancer who had the bones of a 70ish year old

    I even heard somewhere that strong men shorten their lives due to their chosen sport/lifestyle
