Ok I say with a clear conscience that I have never heard that vile ditty you quoted before and I would like some evidence that:
A, manu were never called manure before that terrible night.
B, How fans using the word now is in anyway mocking the deceased.

I did not leave to gain any reaction, I was genuinly pi$$ed right of this morning. Besides, I have a duty here to knock the Mancs (please don't tell me that's offensive) fans down from there high horses.

 

Obviously I have no evidence of that as I don't know every opposition fan who commented on Manchester United between 1902 and 1958. That would be some survey to conduct and I simply don't have the time. I would find it very surprising though as football in the 50's (and before then) wasn't the tribal, spiteful game that it is today. Mancunians would watch United at home one weekend and City the next.

I also don't think that every fan using that term now is mocking the deceased, in all probability very few are as they are sheep who just heard the term, think it's funny and copy it baaaaaaa. what i did object to was being told that I was wrong to say that the term stemmed from that song and that I should basically **** off and accept it. how the **** can any Liverpool fan "decide" what is and is not acceptable and categorically deny that the term is related to Munich. Anyone with half a brain would have taken on board why some United fans find it so offensive instead of just dismissing it. I think RHC did and credit to him for that.
