Like every other QPR player and supporter at Bolton last weekend, Joey Barton was stunned when Clint Hill's header was not awarded.

The ball had clearly crossed the line but the key moment went unnoticed by the match officials.

Barton, who took the corner kick which Hill 'scored' from, had a perfect view of the incident but he believes it is time to move on.

"It's important you don't dwell too much on these things as it can have a negative impact," he told www.qpr.co.uk

"We haven't really spoken in any great length about it. I think each player went away from that game and sought solace in whichever way worked for the individual."

Last Saturday's 2-1 loss at the home of our relegation rivals has seen Rangers slip into the bottom three, and Barton added: "These results are hurting everyone in our dressing room. Without a shadow of a doubt.

"I am sure the QPR fans who have been with this Club and supported it through thick and thin - and will continue to be there for years to come - know that we are all trying.

"And certainly from my point of view they are the fans that we give our utmost for when we go onto that pitch."

In our last four fixtures, which included taking on Fulham with ten men for an hour, the R's have created significantly more chances than our opposition. But Barton does not want to hear about misfortune or bad luck.

"There is no point feeling sorry for ourselves," he said adamantly. "That is not going to help the situation.

"We have made a concerted effort to focus on the next challenge, and that challenge is Liverpool on Wednesday night."

Wise words from the captain. Important to move on, can't go on feeling sorry for ourselves. Dig in and work hard and hopefully the results will follow suit, starting with Liverpool on wednesday. CMON YOU R's!

If JB made a concerted effort to track klasnic then I wouldn't need to say:

Actions, not words. Usual amateur psycho-babble from Joey, the spoof kangaroo.

No one would argue about the phantom goal but I'm not convinced of the advantage of going a goal up away from home early on.Of course if you had got the second one as well that would be fine but it was clearly offside so they did balance out.Quite bluntly QPR have failed to press home the advantage against teams that they could have beaten. It was reasonable to expect six points from the last six games. That would have seen you on 26,still in the mix but with it in your own hands.

We will be lucky to keep it down to three against Liverpool as they are Premiership Giants and alas we are very much smaller ... about the same size as those little flick to kick Subbuteo chaps

The new, meek you is absolutely hilarious. Is this really going to last a mere 21 days (not that DT isn't funny enough)?

Muppet!! Of course it makes a huge difference. Going one up against a team prone to capitulate is entirely different to getting back in the game and still being level. No one argues it was offside but in no way was it a leveler!
