http://www.westlondonsport.com/brentford/brentford-ask-about-qpr-striker/ 'Brentford have made an enquiry about QPR striker Rob Hulse. The Bees are looking to sign a target man on loan following top scorer Gary Alexanderâs recent move to Crawley Town. Hulse, 32, is out of the first-team picture at Loftus Road but Rangers manager Mark Hughes is reluctant to allow any of his 25-man squad to go elsewhere. In November Hulse rejected a loan move to Doncaster because his family are settled in the south. The former Leeds, Sheffield United and Derby forward has made only 13 league starts for QPR since being signed in August 2010.' I guess he's about Brentford standard

Personally I thought he did ok in the couple of 'surprise' appearances he made recently. There were so many things going against him last season not least the injuries and our formation and style of play. Paired with Cisse I bet he'd do as good a job as Bobby Z.
To my shame, I was one of those that didn't rate HH and then he came good, big time, in our Championship winning season. At the start of this season, I put him down as a squad player to cover injuries but he has surprised me again by making a valuable contribution in the Premier League. I think Neil Warnock surprised most of us with some of his bargain basement purchases (e.g. Hill, Derry) who made a huge contribution to get us promoted and who have played better than expected when asked to step up to the Premier League. Given Neil's general ability to pick winners, I have been very disappointed at Rob Hulse's apparent failure. Perhaps due to the lack of a pre-season and injuries, he looked awful last season. Like Frome Ranger, I thought I might have seen a glimmer of a resurgence in his couple of recent cameo appearances. I worry that Rob Hulse hasn't been given the same opportunity as HH to prove himself and maybe, just maybe, there is a gem lurking in there. But how to pick him now ahead of Zamora, Cisse, Bothroyd and HH himself?
