The only way which I come out of this doing "nicely" is if the people who purchase items from us decide to use me for their own design/print needs, which hasn't happened and I don't expect it to because of the logistics involved. Plus I haven't solicited anyone for such services because that would be illegal. I have access to counsel to advise me on such matters.

So no, it is not a commercial venture. It is something I have the time and ability to provide to help RFC causes and charities. I work from home, I do this in between doing the laundry and keeping up the dishes and playing with my 15mo son.

No one accused you of breaking tax law bawmuncher, they accused you when been disingenuous when describing your work. Giving money to a club that hasn’t paid what it owes and is trying to avoid doing so is not a worthwhile cause.

I hope you end up homeless!

I put money in the St Vincent De Paul collection every week at mass but I describe myself as a charity.

I'll be honest, I didn't even look at the site and I just went off on one for the craic. I hadn't the faintest notion what rags for Rangers even was.

Selling shirts for the monkeys. Sweet gesture.....Sweet.....pointless gesture. But you gotta do something right?

HMRC receives anonymous check (sic) from the Smokey mountain region.......that would be sumthin'

Implying that it was a commercial venture and therefore not a non-profit under US law was accusing me of exactly that.

And I toss some bills into the Salvation Army tins at Christmas, but I don't write it off. This is a little bit more complex than wallet donations, and the bases have been covered accordingly.

I'm really not trying to wind you guys up; just wanted to make clear that my group is more concerned with moneys for charity and is making strides to reach as many groups as possible.

That is a hell of an idea I never thought of!

I can't excuse the mismanagement of the club I've spent a lifetime supporting. It's pretty ****ty to be this far adrift; you lot know, you were there once too.

Because the hamper's full. What kind of question is that? Too good to push the little buttons on the wash box for your old lady, eh?

Celtic self harmed. Rangers harmed all about them. I think that is a huge difference and I'm putting aside tribal loyalty when I say that. Your fellow supporters will tell you I am incapable of doing that, but there it is.

You seem genuine and I absolutely understand that you feel you need to do something and as ideas go, it ain't a bad one. As a football supporter, I urge you not to put a single cent towards the club. Do something with the supporters, do something for a Rangers fan in Scotland that needs it. Your magnanimous gesture is not going to stop this happening.

That may sound a bit cruel, but giving money to folk with no prospect of seeing it do any good is crazy. If there was a way out....fine.

Bit of an empty gesture though.

It's like a kid starting a lemonade stand out in the front garden to help pay off his parents credit card debts, or taking a toffee hammer to his piggy bank of coppers.

shane, if you have nothing better to do with your spare time, then use the excuse of a club that has cheated its peers for a life time to make
money for yourself then god help you. I suggest you keep off Celtic forums as I don't expect celtic fans to be interested in trying to keep
    them alive.

I appreciate that. My problems with the other half of the Old Firm start and end on the football pitch. I'm making an effort not to pass along to my son some of the ideals in regards to our two clubs' relationship that were passed along to me.

We are still analyzing the prospects of the RFFF and its potential contributions to the greater club. That said, our primary focus is charitable organizations and causes, including a local group that provides kits and pitch fees to underprivileged children. And we're hopefully announcing soon a partnership with a west coast MLS supporters' club for a share-scheme of the donations which they will allocate to charities in their area.

2400 unique visitors since midnight, I think we're doing a little better than the lemonade stand I had when I was five.

I didn't hold that expectation and I don't plan on trolling over to Kerry Dale Street or the Huddle Board. But this popped up, I knew what the general response would be from the other side, I just wanted to make one plea to say that we are far more focused on charities than backing a possible supporters' takeover of the club or similar. There are people with a lot more money and influence out there than all of us who can sort that out.

    That is what i mean.

Rangers are going to the wall. There is going to be some bear on bear action to try and get in the hotseat of the newco where they'll try and convince themselves that it really is Rangers. That club is going to start in the bottom tier and need every penny they can scrape together to make a go of it.

If they can convince people that their running of the new club is good and just, then pump all the money you like in.

One thing is for sure, supporters of the new club will never again be fooled.
