I think most of the regular visitors to the banter thread and our board generally are aware that there was a shed-load of trouble on there yesterday. The GC lot got on with a cross-thread on Hillsborough and upset a lot of people. At this juncture, I'd like to thank all of you who stood by us yesterday . The banter thread is a great thread, and it's no longer on your board. You'll have to come to our board to get on it, so please don't be strangers. We have lost some good posters. Most notably skylarker, who many of you know, and bazray, who you were getting to know. We need to keep the banter going, so until another solution is found, you'll have to join us on our board. That's that. Now. Do any of you know anything about sat navs. I don't drive, but my mate reckond his is bust. It keeps telling him Manchester's in Europe. only joking. Bilbao are a very good side.
What did I miss out on yesterday? Must have got pretty deep, be glad when Hillsborough is put to bed , Its been going on since I was at school and thats so long ago now.
Started when the GC lot on here posted on the Liverpool board with offensive pictures of Hillsborough and it got out of hand. Luvgonzo then spammed GC and has quit as mod of the Liverpool board. Sky and a few others have left the forum.
Cheers mate Its a frosty topic, posting pics was not nice but its time Liverpool fans stop using hillsborough as a reason to anger people or for a vehicle for one-upmanship in arguements...
It's dragged on for far too long that hillsborough become almost a dirty word you can't speak, I mean what happened was terrible but why dwell on something so negative for so long, only will cause bitterness and resentment. For the people who seek justice then fair play, but don't use it as a vehicle to promote hatred, or silence people in an arguement. Point being my family did not die in Hillsborough nor Munich nor Heysel,I just don't care to have it thrown in my face during debates with liverpool fans and dragged up anywhere or discussed anywhere but the courts.
lose your rag? what are you going on about, this proves my point exactly, what have I said that has offended you and why? Liverpool fans need to let it rest now, yes seek justice, yes pursue the correct avenues about justice. But christ there are far more pressing current world matters to me like world poverty, cancer and many other horrific topics the media has not reported, or given up on,that mean far more to me and billions other people the world over. If people have posted pics or not respected the dead then shame on them, but don't say you have lost your rag without probing into how I feel, otherwise you generalise people on the whole...as I said frosty topic
In fairness to the Liverpool fans the talking on this site yesterday about Hillsborough was caused by prats from GC posting a multi thread with the intention of only hoping to cause offence. No Liverpool fan was starting a debate in fact quite the opposite, they wished it to stop.
That's good to hear, I'm talking about fans I have encountered over the years, what can you say back to something that happened that was a tragedy, you either lower your self or move on, personally i take the latter. But if the media are going to carry on living the court case in the public eye, then people will comment on it and a small minority of those will use it to either WUM in the most disgraceful manner, or as a vehicle to gain one-upmanship in an arguement by taking a moral highground, where everyone's opinion is generalised no matter how constructive or valid. It's time to move on and let the real victims seek their justice without involving the everyday person. If people are trolling or wuming, why feed them, the people that feed them are just as guilty as it's almost if they want to argue and get involved with pre-pubescent schoolground taunts.
