Depends where you are on the south coast. Im going up from Fratton by train, change at East Croydon and then Thornton Heath. Selhurst is actuall slightly closer to the ground.

Train and tube its much easier. I am leaving my car at Cockfosters and getting the tube to the ground.

For those who are too young to remember, Harry Enfield invented a character called loads a money He was very popular in the recession of the 80/90's. Alot of southern clubs took his actions on board and used to wave wads of cash at Northern supporters shouting "loads of money". Revenge time, we should get loads of bottles of water and wave them at the Palace fans shouting "loads of water" and then pour it away.

There's nothing easy about getting from Cockfosters to Palace on the tube and train.

It will take you a bit over three hours to get to Cockfosters, it could easily take you another two hours to get to Selhurst Park, you're about as far away from it as possible while still being in London. If you drive directly to Selhurst Park, it will take a bit over four hours, you'd save three or four hours on the round trip.

It's a **** place to get from here, it's definitely one that better suits those coming up from the south.

Are you overdosing on stupid pills today by chance ? I know its better from the south and thats why i said Train and Tube.

I am using the cockfosters station as i hate driving in ****ty London and parking is even worse. At least i know the wheels will still be on when i get back there. Plus its a saturday so the tube FOR ME wont be as busy. just saying like,.

I dont waste time if i can help it. Last season it took me 4 hrs 20 mins from Hull via cockfiosters to Palaces ground. I just dont drive in London anymore. Now that is a waste of time and fuel mate. ;)

Last time I went to Palace I drove down on the Friday night, stayed at a mates house in an area of London beginning with S. Had a few beers on the Friday night, and started again about Saturday lunchtime. Cannot for the life of me remember how I got to and from the ground, or the result, or much of the Saturday night.

I do know that I didn't park in Cockfosters.

    I hope that helps <ok>

I've been told to head for the area around the White Horse Pub at Selhurst Road and park in a side street but be there at least 30 mins before kick-off.

If you're on the train Norwood Junction is your best bet - regular service from London Bridge and also on the overground line then 10-15 mins walk to the ground.

I would recommend moving to Croydon, that way the game will be just up the road. <ok>

It's a crap game to get to, I would drive through London, but used to live in Tooting and I know how to avoid all the traffic, if you don't know where you're going it's probably not a great idea. That being the case, you're best bet is probably to go round the M25(it's not usually bad on Saturday's) and then cut in at junction 10 and head in through Croydon, though you might need to arrive quite early, I don't think the parking is great round the ground.

We always park at Cockfosters. It's only a couple of quid to park, or there's some street parking half a mile up the road. Just sit on the tube after that.

If your comming down from the north its by far the best way. Driving in London is just a waste of time and fuel. 3 hours from Hull to Cockfosters and then the tube can take the strain as you relax to Selhurst tube station. Easy.
From the south i would take the train / tube all the way. Parking around the ground is almost a No No.
