Despite all the protestations from our feathered friends I am encouraged by this statement made by our esteemed owner. His appetite for success remains undiminished and it appears that he will give the club his full backing in pushing for the Premiership. You can only take this at face value (or in his case you can't) but Marcus Evans remains our full backer and our impending demise couldn't be further from the truth. http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich...fans_to_play_their_part_next_season_1_1238152
But this is all lies and just a sneaky selling ploy! plus Supers said that he was pulling out so how the hell can it be true! not of course anything like a recent story about the immortal 'she who must not be named' (apparently she has hidden 7 horcruxes, so we are ****ed)!
Reading the Town supporters comments at the bottom of the page made me laugh. "Must be that time of the year again. Heard it all before its wearing a little thin and quite frankly after 28 years as a season ticket holder there will be one extra seat available for a Clegg, Evans & Jewell supporter next season. It would be hypocritical of me to financially support an owner, CEO or manager in which I have absolutely no faith whatsoever." "Good to hear from "The Man". Could he please tell me is next years promotion push the same as last years - and the year before that - and so on. May I suggest that (with the exception of those of the "Keep Happy No Matter What" brigade and "We Are True ITFC Fans So It Doesn't Matter What We Get For Our Money" troup)" "Thrilled to hear Mr Evans has an even stronger appetite. And that a promotion push is planned. He doesn't enlighten us as to the details of the plan, though. Was there a similar plan hatched before the beginning of this season? I spent thirty quid recently to watch half an hour of a match that should never have started. No refund offered, so that's thirty quid up the swanee. For me. Not for Mr Evans obviously. Has everyone already forgotten the day the Boro came?" All these fans are clearly delighted with your owners message.
He seems to have the clubs long term interest at heart so i'm happy he is with us, as for knowing what he looks like i don't think it makes one little diddly iota of a fraction of a slice of difference.
err, no i didn't! i said i wouldn't be surprised if he did in the next couple of years if you don't go up. you can only take what he says at face value because you have absolutely no idea what he is thinking because you know so little about him or what he wants. one thing is for sure, he has the potential to cripple the club and thats all i or anyone else said for that matter.
eh? you can't say i made the above statement because i never said it - it was a suggestion of something that may happen in the future because of the financial mess you're club is in. understandably, you don't like it but don't start stating as things that i've said when i haven't said them at all. i guess this is because i told you you're club was £66m in debt and paying 8% interest to your owner on all the debt the club acquired, not just the amount he paid for it, something which is a fact and yet you said i'd made up. keep burying your head in sand guru! how would you like it if i say on here that you said something like 'guru has said that he wants simon clegg to be made a knight of the realm for his services to football' when you didn't say that? stop making **** up to suit yourself
you may be different but when somebody says that i said something which i didn't, that annoys me a little. maybe its just me...
I bet you are one of the ****wits that complain about Jeremy Clarkson every 5 minutes. Read the context of the post!
Because they are a bunch of pompous pricks, who for some reason believe they are morally above us now! what was that famous quote that Cheryl Cole said to that pikey girl. "be careful who you kick on your way up, because they will kick you twice as hard on your way down again"
Supers I do remember you saying something along those lines tbh!! IMO I believe Evans is committed to the club and we are lucky to have him, its not an ideal situation and potentially it could go tits up but thats what we have to live with for the time being. Supers over the years I have always thought you posted more sense than most of the ITFC fans on here and in general have agreed with alot of what you have said, however since Norwich have been promoted I have to agree with Guru that you believe you are morally above us now because everything is rosy at your club!! Constantly comparing us, when we are different clubs and in different situations!!
