Quite amusing when he said "people say the old guard wanted it more, I think that's the biggest cliché in football" and a few seconds later came out with "whenever you cross that white line you do it for yourself and the team". There's little doubt that Savage is an idiot but I didn't think Di Matteo looked like a manager when he celebrated, he ran over to the players, not the other way around. Anyway, excellent result for you lot. Not going to pretend I enjoyed it, I've never been able to support another English team in Europe and would've been pleased to see you get knocked out. Our police are rubbish and corrupt, our politicians are rubbish and dishonest, our judiciary is rubbish and aloof, our doctors and nurses don't care about us as patients anymore, our teachers are all hippies wanting to subvert our kids, but having pundits like Robbie Savage express their opinion on our great game just says it all about the state of our country. What really annoys me about all pundits is the complete lack of reasoning and logic in their drivel. They are more like "shock jocks" whose aim is to provoke comment and phone-ins, which means they talk rubbish all the time.

Bluemoon2 - the sad thing is the faults in this countries institutions will be exported to others in the name of conformity. Everywhere will end up like this. Best thing is to mug up on the old Ray Mears and Bear Gryls survivakl guide and go nomadic, in some desert somewhere. You might not survive very long, but at least you'll die free of council tax, bi-weekly bin collections, parking fines, parenst evenings, tax returns, witnessing moral terpitude, getting sent to court for asking a copper why he isnt catching real criminals when he pulls you over for sneezing whilst driving, getting sued by everyone for anything, having you loved ones sent to fight a war so someone can get rich or re-elected, ......... For me, increasingly, football is becoming an escape, whereas when I was younger it was merely a passion.
