08/09 season, after being relegated, Birmingham immediately bounce back up. 09/10 season, after being relegated, Newcastle and WBA immediatey bounce back up. 10/11 season, well you know what happened there 11/12 season? Well West ham are looking good bets to bounce straight back up and Blackpool and birmingham are also in the mix. You starting to see the pattern here? If the prem standards are slipping then I dread to think what's happening to the championship! These 'poor' teams seem to be bouncing back up with relative ease...

but siam my point is that some players will be on wages they wont get elsewhere, and some will not be on reduced wages if they are relegated. i'm talking a couple of average players who wouldnt get in our team on £30k+ a week, thats £1.5m a year, a drain on resources.. wolves strike me as a team that would bounce straight back up because they are financially stable and have players who will stay and be too good for the championship. the rest will lose all their good players so wont be as much of a threat..
Good point Swamp you only have to look at the teams relegated from the premiership there all in the mix and in all honesty down to Premiership money..dont get me wrong i'm all for big rewards for getting promoted and for staying there but giving teams money for being relegated is rewarding failiure
I didn't say we beat Liverpool Aber mate, I said we beat some of the mentioned clubs. As for not taking anything away from us, I'm afraid that it is blatantly obvious that you are sorry. Every Cardiff fan (Siam aside) keeps going on about how poor the standard is in the Premier league this season, has it ever occured to anyone that maybe the lower teams have just got better and it's not only 2 teams that can win it. Fact is, we are in the Premier league and we have won some fantastic games. The whole "they never turned up" crap is getting very annoying tbh.
man city outplayed by napoli and bayern chelsea struggled to get out of an easy group containing leverkusen (5th in the bundesliga), valencia and genk (awful team). man u got outplayed by bilbao, 7th in la liga, and went out of an easy group containing benfica, galati and basel. arsenal getting slowly worse each year. liverpool undoubtably worse than 2-3 years ago. only spurs and man city have progressed out of the big 6 teams of the league. its no coincidence that all the PL teams have struggled in europe this season. teams like stoke, wolves, blackburn, bolton, aston villa etc are poor teams, better than the championship yes, but poor teams nonetheless. many teams in the PL have been forced to cut their cloth after years of overspending. however you've got to hand it to rodgers, like i have said before it must be between him and lambert for MOTY.

sorry jackash but its just my opinion.....the standards have dropped and im not sure why tbh....maybe 2much money being chucked at the players who knows but what i can tell you is the european teams are stronger at present and will be for many more years unless things change.......lets be honest you wernt no great shakes last year in the championship and with some cheap buys youve held your own........take your blinkers off for a minute and that shouldnt be happening with the so called best league in the world!! the best team in the top division man utd have been second best all season in europe>>>>>>>and most including the jacks are miles back from them points wise in the premier league.........says it all for me really
