Well in conclusion of todays events, City and United are ****, get a decent right winger and a goalscoring forward and we should be certs for the league. Cheers, i raise my glass to the mighty LFC.

You're champions league campaign wasn't quite humiliating but it wasn't far off and the comeback of "yeah well at least we were in it" doesn't address the serious issues you've had in Europe this year. The comparisons with us are fine for the banter etc and its true that we are a way off yourselves but that's like us saying "we're **** but at least we're better than the blues" its small comfort considering the record you've had over the last decade or more surely.

 

It's a blip.

If it happens again then yes, I will deem it fairly serious but we've had a bad year in europe. Nothing more.

The 'serious issues' are, for me, counter balanced by the fact that we reached three CL finals in four season not too far in the past and so therefore are really not doing quite so **** as some would like to believe as it took the 'mighty magical Barcelona' to defeat us in the two we lost.


Now, Liverpool haven't qualified for europe for two seasons and have done pretty much jack **** for the last five. That is a serious issue.

 

It is indeed, but when you consider we nearly went under last year - it could be a lot worse.

But yeah it pains to out of the top 4 let alone 6 and Europe.

We had it so good for a few years and didn't capitalise on it (bar champs league).
