    No not the ITV program but socks.

    I prefer black. I would like to see black socks with red tops.

    **** OFF MATE IVE JUST HAD A LOAD OF DUREX DELIVERED. same colour as the sock for a fanatical supporter, then you want me to to pay for another load in mag colours, do you work for the tax office of Northumbria or the Sundeland strip consortium by chance. ???????????????????

    Was looking at a pic yesterday of us with red shorts and red socks, interesting. We've had red socks for a couple of years now so i wouldnt be against going back to black.

    Sunderland strip is flipping array of tops (cannot alter due to sponsors slavver etc.) but the rest should be all black shorts, red socks with a white turnover tops... end of story. Years of tradition, we need to hang on to at least a bit of it.

    Depends how far you want to go back with tradition.
    The black socks were a reminder of the pre WW2 era, when black socks were worn.
