Except I doubt they care. Europa League is entirely insignificant. Espicially when your a club with such a strong champions league record and you know that any competition is a joke when you get knocked out of 1 competition to get put in it. They dont care. Their fans dont care. I doubt fergie cares. I suspect going out will be a bonus for them. Europa league = ruined by uefa bafling decision to put 3rd place teams in it. Anyone attempting to wum them for busting out the EL is clueless

Yep, never won it so its pointless I know it aint a target at the start of a season but if you're this far its only a few games to a trophy They are ripping your team to shreds though

The thing I find odd is that Valencia are above this Bilbao side (and finished above them last season) yet they look so poor in comparison. They were rotten against Chelsea.
I think its the sort of competition that if you just pop up in the final then you try and win it. And maybe the semi. But at this stage its not worth it. Must be hard for fergie to get the players up for it. The atmosphere at the EL games of city and man utd has been very calm and carefree. Just like a friendly atmosphere. I dont think we can read anything into man u being bad in europe from this. They were poor in their group admittedly but still should of progressed. And you cant judge them by their EL form because they are basically friendly matches. It would be foolish to right man utd off as a european force. I expect they will go deep in the CL next year

You shouldnt judge off the basis of watching 1 or two games. I mean villareal got completely destroyed this year. played 6 lost 6. Valencia were poor too. The problem is that they have no money in that league except for real and barca. SOme other clubs will emerge purely because of the spainish youth system but in the end barca and real will just dominate. Sad really. They should move towards a deal to share out the tv money like in italy, england and germany.
Teams from 3rd or 4th to 8th have problems with consistency,its why they are where they are. This team have consistently out played ye over almost 180 minutes. For a comp so beneath ye I bet you didnt think there was a complete footballing lesson like this coming along, ost of yer fans would have wanted to win this, in fairness that team would be in with a shout in the CL if they were in it that lot would open up chelsea like a tin of beans
