For those who are interested, our FA Youth Cup semi final first leg against Chelsea at OT is being televised live on ITV4 tomorrow (Friday) night at 7pm.

Our U18s are bidding to retain the FAYC we won last year and add to our record of ten cup wins. We beat Chelsea on the way to lifting the trophy last year, so here's hoping history repeats itself!

Our performance in the competition this year has been even more impressive, given that only Gyliano van Velzen and Tyler Blackett remain from last year's winning side, most of the others having moved on to the reserves or gone out on loan. And with our reserves having no players older than 21, and yet still being top of the Northern Reserve League with two games in hand, the future is definitely looking very bright for United once again :)

Actually I meant to post in on Tuesday. Liverpool's miserable failure simply provided me with a strong reminder <ok>

I've got a stream showing ChelseaTV - it's making me feel a bit sick.

They look better at the moment though.

It's a pretty boring game at the moment, Chelsea are better but that's to be expected when United are going through 'a transitional phase'

Goals don't necessarily make a good game <ok>

That was the free-kick weren't it? Blackett was unlucky not to score because that was a great shot.

Let's be honest. 1-2 flatters ManU.Hope you can make a better effort for the 2nd leg.

How did we get on? from here it looks like they were the better team. Wish I could have watched it.

They were the better team, but probably to be expected given the players they have. Piazon was a £10 million signing, so playing him at U18s level would be like us playing Ronaldo in the FAYC in 2003.

Gonna be an uphill battle in the second leg...

Correct. United were poor last night but hope we do much better in the 2nd leg.
