QPR co-owner and vice-chairman Amit Bhatia has rubbished reports that he is set to launch a takeover bid for Millwall.

The investment banker, who returned to QPR when Tony Fernandes bought a 66 per cent share of the club back in August, has been linked with a secret bid for Championship club Millwall.

It has been reported that Millwall chairman John Berylson rejected a huge offer from a mystery overseas investor - which was speculated to be Bhatia, the son-in-law of billionaire QPR owner Lakshmi Mittal.

But he took to Twitter to distance himself from the rumour. He posted: "For those asking, there's no truth in story linking me to a bid for Millwall."

So the Millwall rumour reappear. Never smoke without fire they say...

Personally I can't see it happening though. Didn't this first surface when he was rebuffed from attaining a 17% stake from Tango & Cash that would have made Bhatia/Mittal 50/50 owners of our club? Old garbage floating to the surface this is.

I have a niggling feeling ( bad dream) that the goons are just on holiday with TF standing in for them and its all hidden. AB if he could i am sure would buy QPR outright so why can't he?

Its not for sale and too many mistakes have been made to the brand of QPR ... a fresh start is what i would be looking at as a project if I had the cash and interest in running a football club

Would prefer if the rumour was about TF. AB is class and is the one with the dosh!

The reason AB didn’t buy from Clowns BE and FB, was the price was too high, AB is a business man and also I’m sure he didn’t want BE and FB to have the last laugh…..

I hope both AB and TF stay with us, in fairness TF has dug deep and spent money on players to try to establish us a premiership club……
BE and FB had the money, but were short armed with long pockets and wanted success on a shoestring !!!!

If AB left it would be a disaster, I believe his heart in the club and care about QPR……..
Let’s hope they don’t leave, we’ve had too many false dawns over the recent years……….

Amit is far too classy for a club like Millwall.

I hope he doesn't go, but I feel he intimated,or may even have said that he wanted to OWN a football club.
The coice is simple, part own, or own.
Like I said I hope he stays.

I think it is on the cards what is going to happen! So lets just enjoy what is left of our short stay in the premiership! Then back to the old game again, no manager of worth, no rich owners any more and a second rate team again! But still a first class club and fans!

If it was any other club other than Millwall, it might worry me. But the Mittal name linked with a club with xenophobic, anachronistic, knuckle-dragging fans?...not in my wildest dreams could I see that

But it does leave me worrying that perhaps the Mittals are getting edgy about ownership without full control. With their money they could buy any club they like, outright. Just hope they stick in at LR

At the end of last month, I had a few quid left over from my previous pay cheque: hundreds rather than thousands. Surely that would be enough to outbid Amit for Millwall and keep our saintly vice chairman at Loftus Road?

Anyway, Amit ain't going anywhere: he's got the QPR bug, I can see it in his eyes.

Sorry, James, I don't totally agree. Maybe I'm being naive but I do actually believe our owners are in it, "it" being QPR, for the long term. They are probably the best we have ever had and I've been around nearly as long as you.

Now the manager, that could be another matter: always a bit of a lottery in my view. And as for The Premiership, it is probably just going to be "au revoir" until 2013/14.

But you're spot on about the Club and the fans.

It has long been my belief that TF is only a front at QPR. Berni and Flav refused to sell to Amit, so Amit set up TF to buy in and after a suitable time Amit will buy out TF for 100% control.

At least that is my hope.

Jimmy come out of your fox-hole, the Blitz is over. No more curfews, no more rationing and no more fiddling around with your sister. The World is a great place full of abundance and happiness so allow yourself to believe.

The future's bright. The future's blue and white.
