Sorry guys as although I'm off this week, I've got my CBT tomorrow in New Addington so I'll soon be legal to hit the roads So the roads better look out I passed the bike theory a couple of Saturdays ago in Croydon
soon the next time soppy bollocks asks me if I fancy meeting him for a after work in Blackheath when he's over from eyetieland, I'll have to say yeah I'll meet you for a orange or a coke! Definitely none of that low alcohol lager ****!
nah bucks I meant that less than 0.5% **** that's sold, think it was Barbican years ago although in recent times I'm sure I remember Beck's releasing a low alcohol lager onto the market? mate
On a serious note mate I've said for years that there should a be zero tolerance level for drink driving as the system is so open to abuse whereby some people can drink more and be under the limit than others who drink less and be over. Circumstances can dictate as well if your drinking on an empty stomach or if you've got a lining on your stomach say if you've had something to eat before or even drank a pint of milk before which they also say can act as a lining as well. I think the only fair way it to have a zero level then everyone knows that 1 drink puts you over on a b-test
The funny thing is I just read your post and it didn't even register there's no such drink as Barbican! Maybe there should be, it'd have to be low alcohol too. Agree on the no drinking and driving, tend to spill most of it .
The problem with a zero tolerance stance on drink driving would be residual alcohol in the bloodstream from the day before. You could go out for a few with your mates one night and be stopped driving to work the next morning and still have alcohol in your system.
yeah Becks made a 0.5% beer as well, my mate accidently picked them up on the way round to mine to watch the boxing
Fair point Simon which is why when I get my bike I won't be riding to work the next day after having a drink so I'll still occasionally have to get the overground to work as I see my old man for a few beers after work on Friday on my early shift week so I'd rather not take any chances the next day just in case to be extra cautious
Ride safe Steve, will see you next week but I won't be on my Triumph sprint ST - I'll use the train to take advantage of Chesh's free beers. Good time of year to get a bike though, great planning
