One of these years I'm going to have a season opener party. Just as soon as I move out of my 1 bed place and get some more room.
Guys, I'd like to propose a toast. To a great year of racing, action (both on-track and off-track), and a good year on Not606!
After Webber saying Red bull are unsure on pace now Mclaren follow: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/17377870 Is nobody sure? even HRT? cheers!
I have to get up at 7:30 tomorrow so I do not know whether to go to bed late and watch FP1 or go to bed early and get up for FP2. please log in to view this image
I think the morning but I am not sure. I am leaning towards watching FP2 anyway because there is usually more running during it than FP1.
McLaren have taken part in one of those speed comparison runs today. They allegedly ran the 2011 car with a 2012 front wing but I'm not certain that's the case. Gary Paffett drove the McLaren. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Again not stiring the pot, but has anybody seen the short clip on Skysports with Lewis being photographed and pretty much being disgusted by being touched by some fat guy, though I would probably be the same after to 50th guy on the day. Just seems to me that his demeanor is a tad hostile as he quickly shrugged off any friendly admiration from the fan. Either he is on the warpath, or he really does mean business this season.
Interesting comment from Pat Fry in the Guardian: Red Bull McLaren Lotus . . . Ferrari / Mercedes Bob Bell sees things similarly. Red Bull McLaren . Mercedes / Lotus / Sauber . . Ferrari Other than that the article tells us that Newey's great at designing F1 cars.
Martin Brundle ‏ @MBrundleF1 Approaching 7am and raining hard in Melbourne. A lost day of dry running would concentrate the intensity of this race weekend enormously
Harsh man harsh, it's lucky felipe isn't reading this forum or he would get so depressed and eat a few tubs of ice cream lol.
Hope we get some some dry running in practice though, don't want to be up all night watching the cars parked in the pit lane. What time does practice start by the way? Can't find anywhere that states what time it is. The BBC don't bother with times any more, Sky's website hardly ever loads, the F1 site says it's 1:30, but they say the race is 7:00 when it's 6:00, which would mean FP1 is at 12:30, but Sky's coverage doesn't start until 1:00, it's a ****ing minefield, why can't anyone give a straight answer? Edit: Just seen the F1 website says the race is on the 27th of March 2011.
