Your entitled to you opinion mate, but the club must be bigger than any manager and any player. Decisions should always be made for the good of the club. Under NW, the club was heading down. I think that looked obvious. NW did a fantastic jon last year. Amazing. He will always be remembered fondly as a QPR legend. But we move on. MH and the players need our full support until the end of the year and then our owners need to assess the whole situation.
with a view to Flyer..i know him from our old board and believe me we used to agrue non stop all the time..very rarely did we agre..BUT he is no baiter or WUM. he genuinely believes what has posted and sticks by it (rightly or wrongly) We have had many an argument but he is also very well informed and although our views dont always agree i cant fault his commitment (or stubborness!) Everyone has and is entitled to thier own opinion. i know on some sites people get slated for not being "in the gang" but this has not struck me as one of those sites..long may it continue....
If you look at the bottom five one thing stares out at you.The two teams who sacked their managers have the worst form.Coyle and Kean seem to be getting points on the board and Wigan are no longer cut adrift from the pack. I will be the first to applaud QPR if you beat the drop but I have to say the last six games looked like your big chance and your position worsened.I would be shocked if Hughes is there ome August.Your board would most likely sack him even if you do stay up.
There's no way they'll sack him, they'll lose so much face and the pay-off would be astronomical. There's no way he'll walk away on the money he's getting. The bottom-line is whether we stay up or go down MH will have to prove himself or his reputation will be ruined...
Down is the new UP Its more fashionable to the overall image and QPR look better as a nothing side ... It's about knowing ones place , let's give back the money get Mark Bircham in as manager and re invent ourselves as soon as possible Success is overrated
The decision was correct. They replaced a manager with little Prem experience with a manager who has a very solid Prem and International record. It was a no-brainer. The decision was made to give us the best possible chance to stay up. MH has a great reputation as a top-class player and is respected as a manger. He has the ability and connections at the highest level to attract a far better standard of player than NW would ever have. I never expected that QPR would just lift off after his arrival, it was always going to be a huge task for us to stay up regardless of who was manager. IMO by appointing MH we gave ourselves the best chance.
Mark Hughes best bloke for the job 25 million quid and on target to get 19th It's been a very good and predictable season and what most expected apart from that idiot who thought we could get into the mix up and get 8th
Only time will tell if MH was the right man for the job. So far he has proved he isn't. No point saying the damage was done because he has had a transfer window and plenty of games against the 'weaker' teams to have got us out of trouble. I hope he does pull the rabbit out of the hat, it will be a great job if he does.
As I have hinted at on other posts - TF has made 1 decision and got it wrong NW has a better record with a lesser squad than MH and he had sod all time to do any real ground work NW should have been given the whole season of that I "now" have no doubts - TF felt that as he owned the club he would make a hard decision in the interests of our long term future. Oh Dear...... TF my advice is this - Take a long hard look at QPR then take a look at caterham and your air line spot any differences?. In sacking warnock he bottled it im afraid. When Oh when did MH ever give a team the bounce effect? - no research done To top this rant off - MH interviewed us for the job (and got way too much money AND didn't buy a keeper!!!!!!!) TF please step back before you ruin your investment. The honeymoon is over I'm afraid. "We want our Amit back, We want our Amit back, We want our Amit back" etc......... PS. I predict that catherham will be **** again this year because he can't leave them alone either.
Flav was slagged off for having an itchy trigger finger. TF only waited 19 games before sacking Warnock. Bit like Dr Shipman, no patience (patients).
