Thought you guys would be interested in the following, printed in today's "Sun" newspaper.

PREMIER LEAGUE TABLE SINCE JANUARY 1st.

    MAN UTD P9 W7 D1 L1 PTS 22
    MAN CTY P10 W7 D0 L3 PTS 21
    SUNDERLAND P10 W6 D1 L3 PTS 19
    ARSENAL P9 W5 D1 L3 PTS 16
    FULHAM p9 W5 D1 L3 PTS 16
    SWANS P9 W5 D1 L3 PTS 16

The bottom three are Wigan 9/6; QPR 9/5; Wolves 9/5. Liverpool 4th from bottom!!!!

So, as you can see, Swans are in 6th position on games played this year, behind Arsenal and Fulham on goal difference with a game in hand on Sunderland and Manchester City.

I was amazed when I read this, not realising quite how well we've been doing since the New Year; all I can say is a huge well done to our wonderful team AND PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!

Yeah, Swansman, I did a double take too. All I can guarantee is that I copied it faithfully from the article omitting the goal differences. If the Sun got its facts right then it's correct. Impressive form from us or what?

Been keeping a close eye on the second half of the season because that was where Blackpool failed massively, they had 39 points last term and went down, we have 36 points with 10 games to go , so I presume we will gain at least 3 points by May :emoticon-0103-cool:

5 wins out of 9 -IF sustained over a season would probably, with the odd draw here and there, produce about 70 points! - who know one season soon we may be realistically looking at that sort of target which would be a top 4 finish!

It's not all good news, it is now mathematically impossible for Swans to win the Premier League.

It's also impossible for Man Utd, Man City & Spurs to be relegated.

Great effort by the lads and I hope there's some sort of lap of honor at the end of the season at the Liberty or something.

"If the Sun got its facts right" : Now that's what worries me. <laugh>

Having said that, if it's right it's an amazing achievement. Puts into perspective ITIWRAN's recent comment that it was all down to luck. <doh>

Phil, nothing wrong with page 3!!! Then again the best pages are the ones with the Swans on.

    Ivor!............... <laugh>

That reminds me, regarding something I meant to mention to you regarding Ivor Allchurch! I was talking to an old Jack, that told me a true tale regarding Ivor's escapades with the ladies, and this one was on the Swansea beach, in amongst the dunes, where Ivor was scoring to put it mildly a hat trick, and the lads that where watching gave him a rapturous applause, when he finally finished his performance, but needles to say they did not stick around, for Ivor's backlash!....
