I'm all for stability and long-term objectives etc. and agree we are desperate for a sustained period of stability more than anything... BUT, are you really happy with stability if it meant Mike Ashley, Derek Llambias and Alan Pardew, a man nobody wanted in the first place and in 10 games has picked up just one win? What if long-term stability came at the cost of relegation AGAIN, losing our best players, and carrying out with the Mickey Mouse regime and a manager who by all counts really might not have what it takes to manage our club? I do like Pardew for his grit and determination, but that can only carry him so far when results and performances go against him. But what if Ashley is determined not to sack him no matter what, would you all really be happy seeing Newcastle slide for that stability we crave? And I also read a lot from fans not wanting a takeover... really? I mean really???? Some of you would rather Mike Ashley stayed, kept calling the club "self-sufficient" as a cover up way of basically being tight than having a multi-billionaire buyout the club and instantly turn it around? All because we want stability and players who "play for the shirt" over success? I'm trying not to sound prick really lol, but if Pardew takes us from mid-table to 17th, alright we'd have taken that start of the season, but when Pardew took over we were in a healthy position, so if he drags us down into this scrap and we barely survive, would you honestly have faith in him to re-build and take us to the next level??? Cuz personally I'd embrace a massive change at the club, a new owner who can click his fingers and make things happen, buying world class players at a wage he can comfortably afford if it meant success. Replacing a manager who is trying his best, but may not be good enough or have the ability to take the club forward. So I'm just curious really, would you guys prefer to keep what we have for the next 3-4 years no matter what as long as it brought stability and everyone knew what was happening, or would you tell Pardew "thanks, but we haven't got faith in you" if we stay up by the skin of our teeth or even go down?
it doesnt matter how low we fall as long as its not the bottom three! which it wont be Pardew is Ashleys man and its seems to finally be a one that he really wants, I for one actually have faith and belief in the manager. We all knew this season wasn't going to be easy but comments and negativity like this is going hand in hand with when people were shouting about catching Liverpool and making the Europa League. Both are unrealistic, we will finish between 10-17th. obviously the further above 17th the better. However, maybe by finishing low it will force Ashleys hand into more summer spends keep the faith, theres no real reason not to!
Pardew is the man Ashley wants and even if that's not something people really like, at least it means he should support him more than he would another manager. Hughton did a fantastic job but would he really have dealt with the Carroll situation better, considering it's Ashley who's in charge of the budget? What else could he have done differently? Signed Aliadiere instead of Kuqi?
Can't see new owners and would hate to see a new manager. well we all knew we had a paper thin squad and the injuries we have picked up lately has ****ed us,i don't think we've played the same team in those 10 games you mentioned,losing key players like barton,jose,jonas,tiote etc. along the way add in ben arfa,gosling and ireland and they are key players in anyones book. chopping and changing is not the answer if any set of fans have learnt this (well i hope we have) it's us,stick with what we have and wait for the injuries to clear see what is bought in the summer and crack on
I only read the first paragraph, but I got the gist. Pardew (with the exception of selecting Sol Campbell at the weekend) has done a good job. We've picked up 14 points in 14 games, and when you look at the crap squad he's been left with following Carroll's sale and a load of injuries, that's an impressive return. This season is just about riding out the storm until we can strengthen in the summer, and so far Pardew's getting the job done, at this rate we'll finish on 44 points, which should be plenty.

Thriller, look at the squad we had when he took charge, and look at the squad we have now. I know it's only one player, but Carroll was the lynchpin of our attack and the replacements are cack.
For me this season has gone well and we are on our way to stability, you can't get full blown stability in the first couple of seasons, so a 15th place finish would be decent and we can build on that.
Hey i have no doubts, just think its a lame statement. Pardew, yes has made some questionable decisions and yes Carol ****ed off to the bin dippers but he is doing a good job with the squad he has available. He is hardly dragging us down. Players haven't performed, injuries, suspensions, failing to add to the squad in the transfer window. This is why we are struggling at the moment. Survive this season, see who he brings in, see how things start off next season with his squad,then start to pass judgement
What exactly would sacking another manager achieve? **** all is the answer. We'd end up in mid table in the Championship with Phil Brown or some other desperate twat in charge.
