If you look back at the history books I think you will find that that happens quite a lot.

I don't think Tickler knows what balanced views are.

The Lino was waving the ref gave the goal out players ran over and gave the ref a mouthful he looked at the Lino who was stood there pulling his own shirt so the ref went over for a chat and then disallowed it, pretty much how it happened. Wouldn't say it was our best performance but it was a very good one we completely stopped Cardiff from playing (not that I think we had to if I'm honest) and we managed to knock the ball around nicely because we were allowed freedom to play how we liked. Think we may have played a bit better against West Ham when we bloody well lost but that's the nature of the game. Crazy funny old game it is.

if you want to insult our manager, by all means do it on the hull board, if you involve cardiff fans, what do you expect other than what has been said?

you didnt see the game yet 'The decisions made by the match officials did not cost Cardiff the game. Simply Hull City were a far better side'

to the person who said playing badly to hull is a regular recurrance, it wasnt when we beat you 2-0 at home last season! even gavin rae scored! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/8977674.stm

French Tickler. how am i in denial? hull were gifted 3 points, it was a poor performance when you compare it to the cup final and our outstanding earlier season form, when we lost about 3 matches in 20 odd matches, remember, we are in a poor run of form, 8 points from 9 league games.

It was me who said I hadn't been to the game, Tickler who said we were a better side was at the game. But from what I'm hearing in all the media sources, we were very much the better side. 'Gifted 3 points' would be if you dominated from start to finish and we were awarded an unfair penalty. We scored 3 good goals and dominated the game.

i am not denying the fact that hull were the better team, they were. however we performed well below the standards that have been set this season. you were gifted 3 points for this reason. '3 good goals' erm, the first was a dreadful own goal with our player not under any pressure early on...

The 2nd was an absolutely fantastic team goal though there's no denying that specially as it was the center back who got the ball at the edge of our box bombed up the pitch and then scored a poachers goal, worthy of winning any match although it wasn't the winner.

Listened to the game on Cardiff city player and the commentators were bemoaning how poorly we played, they even intimated Hull should have had 4 or 5! We are on a poor run but the game did sound dire last night. Going into the game I thought we'd put 3 past you guys, good on you for your wi but most on here expected a draw based on your current run, so did you suddenly find some form or did you play a poor Cardiff side on the night?

I think you'll find, my friend, that in total, in games between our clubs, we have won more than you.

In fairness, we've dominated almost every game we've played this season. Only in two away games have we really been outplayed, generally we create a whole host of chances and mess them all up. For the past few weeks people have been saying things like "Someone is due a hammering." and eventually a hammering came. It was probably a lot to do with your poor form but it's unfair to say we were simply 'gifted' the points.

    Not really relevant Strov!

A bit of both, but could easily be down to the fact you allowed us to play the way we like to. Most teams park the bus against us and leave us no space or time but you just opened up left us acres of space between your defence and midfield and had your defence stretched out wider than the river Nile. I wouldn't really say we've been out of form recently as such we tend to dominate almost every game but because other teams usually block their goal with an ocean liner we struggle to break them down, that's where we suffer as we have no aerial threat and are rubbish at set pieces so teams are more than happy to stifle us that way almost risk free.

What ever MM has said it can't be any worse than that deluded pratt Watford have got in charge after Koren's late winner earlier in the season.

I don't believe any team is "gifted" anything. Like all things both teams play to win, this leads to unforced errors which folks deem gifted. I can only comment on what I heard I'm afraid but am not trying to demean your win or your style of play. Unfortunately listening to a game on ccplayer is a very poor substitute when you are not able to attend a game :(
On the head to head I believe you have beaten us 3 more times than we have beaten you. Do correct me if I am wrong.

I tell you what, matie, you aint half diggin a hole for yourself.

After we tonked you 3 zip, to say it was because you gifted it to us is just making you look a bitter tw@t.

Your manager is quite within his rights to say what he did, but if I were a Cardiff fan I'd be disappointed he was trying to deflect the cause of a critical defeat onto the officials. Perhaps Mackay should take a leaf out of Mark Hudson's book who showed a good deal more dignity after the game.

You lost at home 3-0, mate. Show some dignity and give the team that did that to you some credit without belittling your club by saying it was only because you were so poor.

show some dignity? i did, i stayed to the bitter end to cheer on the boys.

i said after the match that i hoped malky gives the players a piece of his mind as it doesnt matter who the opposition that is, top of the table or bottom, that performance wasnt good enough. if he does that in house and defends them in public, thats surely the way to go rather than slating them in public as the OP suggests... would you see fergie or mourinho doing that? erm, no.

are you that naiive to think that a manager will risk alienating a dressing room by saying they were crap and not fit to wear the shirt on the day?

Are your players that stupid to believe a manager who claims a 3-0 home defeat was purely down to the officials?

Like I said go and read what Mark Hudson said after the game. A marked contrast to what Mackay said.

What I cannot understand is Malky said if their goal had stood and it was 1 - 1 at half time it would have been a different game. The game was still the same Hull scored a further 2 and Cardiff failed to score resulting score would have been a 3 - 1 to Hull

We probably did catch Cardiff in a bad run of form, but we took our chances when they came which we haven't done recently. Cardiff are a tough opponent for any side in this league and we did have to ride pressure from them at times, they were the home side after all. The disallowed goal could have changed things by giving Cardiff a boost before half time, but we worked hard for the win last night and in the end came away with a deserved 3 points

I paused the sky showing of the non goal. There were three stages to the incident.
Manone stood with Maclean directly in front of him.
Cardiff player pushes between the two City players.
Manone struggles to get off the ground, The ball goes over his hands.
At least three city players turn to the ref. The linesman is pointed out.
There was absolutely no way the goal could have stood, even without the shirt being pulled. Manone was clearly fouled.

Sadly you're right standards are slipping every year but at the end of the day Hull were good value for their win
