That's a few times now that Chester has created a goal by starting a move with one of his trademark tackles. He doesn't usually score them but I've seen a few times we've scored and while the striker is celebrating someone like Koren in midfield will go and congratulate Chester for starting the attack with a perfectly timed tackle.
How come you were in the home end? Corporate? I didn't think it was offside last night because I didn't realise Koren touched it. He did and so it's offside. Oh dear.
Has anyone else noticed (TWS, Ipsheet and Caaaaardiff) that Chester has made a number of telling runs into the opposition half, even into the penalty area? Certainly more than he has done previously this season.
What a great win, and good timing after the run of draws. Good to hear it was agreat game, have been busy the last 2 or 3 weeks with business so have not had much time, but had to say what a great win. UTT.
I was right up against the barrier so it was pretty much bang in line, I noticed Koren touch it and instant thought was offside but when I looked up their full back looked to have played McLean onside. I could be right I could be wrong and the Lino missed Korens little flick on as it would have been a tricky one to catch.
It will be on the BBC sport match report from thursday or friday. SKY just showed the goals and not much else.
For those like me who couldn't go. http://www.footreview.net/index.php/home/viewvideo/2491/championship/cardiff-0-3-hull-city
Don't care but the push was hard to see, for once it went our way and mclean looks offside to me for the 3rd but who cares
It's up on the BBC now, there's no close up of the disallowed goal and the camera is slow following the ball to Mclean for the third, so it doesn't really tell us much... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17374732
Behave. The away end went up to the edge of the penalty area at the most. McLean was 40 yards out then he was offside!
Watching the Sky highlights and I paused it accidentally, and what was on screen wasn't a perfect image but it looked very much as though the Cardiff player was standing face to face with Mannone and had has hands firmly on Mannone's shirt at about waste level. The lino would have got a very clear view. The other goal would only have been off side if McClean had come back from an offside position when the ball was kicked. He looked pretty much on side from the clip I saw.
The last defender was on the line of the centre circle, which is 40 yards out. Glasses for Bob. And Tickler, I'm not certain he was off, looks it from the video, I was arguing the position.
Looking at the BBC highlights it's hard to disagree with the foul on Mannone even if only for his reaction. Watch him as soon as the ball goes in he's running sraight at the ref enraged, you don't react like that when you're making something up (unless you play for Leeds obviously). The McLean goal is incredibly tight because of the timing of him coming back and then going again, but how **** was their defending? When he misses the initial shot and the ball goes up the defender just watches it come down for McLean to tap in, why didn't he challenge it?! Didn't realise how close we were to getting a 4th from Koren either.
Christ George we were close to getting a 4th 5th 6th and 7th, Josh King wasted what was probably the best chance of te game he was clear through one on one with the keeper with the whole goal to aim at and just ran the ball straight into the keepers hands.
Same as what McLean did for his goal, and what Fryatt was doing for the entire first half of this season. Do we not practice chances like that? I mean if it was a missed shot fair enough but not shooting at all is just stupid.
