Seems like our BBC article writer has missed it as well. He took Swindon apart at the Kassam a couple of weeks ago.
From Oxford to Swindon - sounded superb at Oxford and way above his level, be good for him to taste success in a promotion winning side if you ask me
http://www.oufc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10342~2658297,00.html Well Done Mr Cortese, looks like he's getting the best deal out of a player who will struggle to get into the first team squad. All the Best to Lee Holmes, always liked him and even when he was injured he helped out in the local community.
Sounds promising for Lee if there is a contract lined up! Top guy, Top player and someone I will always look out for
I actually thought Lee had alot to offer! always thought he done well when he made a subs appearance this season.Shame but i hope he goes on and has a great career, always seemed a top bloke who done loads in the community.Good luck Lee!
Swindon fans loving this of course. He'll do well for sure as he is far too good for league 2, as has already been mentioned above. With his contract up here in the summer, maybe he's just putting himself in the window for a bigger move elsewhere? There's a title and a JPT final in it for him. Could be a few clubs looking at him over the summer. Good luck to him.
That's probably why they've moved him to Swindon...he can audition for a permanent deal in the summer, as they're almost certainly going back up to League One.
I surprised that someone like Sheff Utd or Hudds didn't come in for him, he's a good L1 player. If he stays fit he'll do a job for anyone at that level.
Great news for the lad. Always liked the look of him. A spell playing will do him good. Best of luck to him
He'll do well at Swindon. Gutting for Oxford though, I gather he went down a storm at the Kassam - they loved him up there.
Sounded like it, but from what I understand, Swindon would be in a position to offer him a permanent deal at the end of the season whereas Oxford wouldn't be
He has played on loan at Swindon before and loved it and fans did not want to see him go, so fingers crossed it works out again for him
