please log in to view this image R's Assistant Manager Mark Bowen insists that the squad are as motivated as ever, despite descending into the bottom three at the weekend. Defeat against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday meant Rangers slipped into dangerous territory, but Bowen remains convinced the R's can be lifted straight back out, and told www.qpr.co.uk: "It galvanizes the dressing room. "We feel a little hard done by, and it's a little bit self-inflicted. But we want to put things right. "There's a real determination now over the ten games. We're in a ten game fight with four other Clubs." Despite recent results, Mark Hughes's right-hand man is certain that the deadline day double signings of Djibril Cisse and Bobby Zamora could prove crucial in the R's remaining fixtures. "As a team, we are creating a lot of chances," said Bowen. "We've got two strikers who we feel, with the run-in, could be vital for us. "We've got to continue to keep creating chances. We feel they're getting a good understanding. But the rest of the team have got to give them a chance as well. "By keeping things tight and creating a platform, if they go onto score, we can pick up three points." The R's next top-flight fixture is against Liverpool at Loftus Road in a week's time, but the Rangers Assistant is adamant that the team's mindset remains the same, regardless of the opposition. "When you feel like you are playing well, it's like you've got no fear of playing the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal at home," added Bowen. "We may be proved wrong, but at the moment we're just saying 'bring them on'. "If things are equal and we can defend a little bit better, I think we're a match for anybody." http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2656835,00.html? We certainly talk the talk, NOW GO AND FE**ING WALK THE WALK!
I agree a million percent with your last line! I got murdered here recently for saying that before every game the powers that be trot out the usual propaganda. now we're left with a run in that had everyone crapping themselves and we're expected to believe that we can get enough points to survive? I believe in miracles but this is a step too far in my opinion.
We beat Chelsea Blackburn beat Arsenal Swansea beat City It can be done BUT it demands a step change in the players performance.
The same old spiel that we've been hearing for the last ten games. Anyone can talk a good fight, let's see all this propaganda transferred onto the pitch.
Mark - things are NOT equal. We do not compare to teams above us, as the stats show since you have come in. Nice words. Just what I would expect you to say - now GET OUT THERE AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! That's what you're paid the big bucks to do. You've got the players (you have told us that) - so over to you!
I want to know who the ****ing defensive coach is!Every game we concede sloppy goals, this is why were in the ****.Get on the ****ing training ground and work on basic defending, like not allowing free headers from 5 yards out and tracking back with the bloke your marking(Joey you tool).
Bowen: THERE'S A REAL DETERMINATION. Super, smashing, great. Here's what you could have won .........
I'm glad there's a real determination because the fake determination they've been telling us about for weeks clearly hasn't worked.
It's good to see someone from the club coming out after the last poor result to say how great things are in the camp and how everyone is pulling together to turn things around. It makes a real change and I'm now extremely optimistic. Cheers Mark.
"If things are equal and we can defend a little bit better, I think we're a match for anybody." We don't need to be a match for anybody, we need points and that means GOALS... and lots of them. Anything less than that and we're ****ed, end of.
We've been hearing this bs for the past 5 months so until we register a gritty, backs to the wall victory, just another bunch of words to keep the fans onside.
