There are definitely Utd fans who don't rate him and were happy he was going. But they were generally not the same fans who are now happy that he is staying.

I'd be surprised if that was the case. We all know how fickle football fans can be!

I'm saying he will not be fit next season due to his track records of injuries. Cleverly has only begun his Utd career and also shows great promise. Anderson has been here years now and tbh shown very little. Time to go.

Anderson should be moved on, we need him to fill the void and his either injured, woefully short of form or when he does get back in and start scoring he gets injured again and looks well short of the mark versus Bilbao. How long can we wait for Anderson, we need a couple of players to make that position their own and sadly Ando looks like he will never live up to his great promise

Talks are still ongoing between the club and Pogba and contract negotiations are at an advanced stage.

Read on the Goal website that Pogba has boarded the plane to Spain for the match against Bilbao so he could feature tomorrow.

Yeah I read that on Goal Mobile too mate, it is his birthday tomorrow I just checked so I have a feeling he will be on the bench for the Bilbao game and sign for us, he even come on versus West Brom which started to prove the Daily Fail' article as WUMMERY..

We need him as our midfield is crying out for new blood, he is uber-talented and would be a crime to let Juve have him.. I would prefer to let Ando go and give this kid the platform to shine next season. Even if it's at 15 - 20k a week. I'm sure we could structure his contract to have appearance fee's and make it a competitive contract, as always with modern footballers, it all depends on his Parasite agent and how much he feels he can squeeze out of the coffers of OT.

It's on the Utd site too:

United travelling squad: Amos, De Gea; Evans, Evra, Fabio, Ferdinand, Rafael, Smalling; Carrick, Cleverley, Giggs, Park, Pogba, Scholes, Young, Valencia; Berbatov, Hernandez, Rooney, Welbeck

Looks like we're taking it seriously then.

Maybe it's down to the level of performance? Just a thought.

Most United fans can see the difference between a player who gives maximum effort at every opportunity and those that are fat and don't.

Possibly. Also mainly cos Cleverley played more league games than Anderson last year, and also Anderson has had one or two serious injuries every season since he joined us. It's a shame, cos Anderson could be a great player for us, but ultimately as soon as he gets in form he gets crocked.

I'm sure if Cleverley goes the same way people will be saying he should also be moved on after five years...

I don't think Anderson keeps himself fit enough though and this also manifests itself through his many injuries. He just doesn't have the correct attitude to be a United player and he's never really proved to me that he has the talent either.
He throws in the odd good performance but nowhere near on a consistent enough basis. He is also very guilty of taking certain opponents less than serious, it's notable to me that some of his best performances have been against top class opponents whereas he does very often play totally **** against teams he clearly deems beneath him.

Cleverley on the other hand does his level best to get every ounce out of his talents. As does Fletcher for example. So called less talented players who are way more effective and worthwhile.

Anderson ain't a red in my eyes and I'll take some convincing otherwise. Like three consistently good seasons might do it.

Best thing he ever did in a United shirt was coolly slot away his penalty in the CL final shootout.

I'd be more inclined to agree with the lack of fitness thing had he not had so many knee ligament injuries. Being unfit is unlikely to lead to injuries like those. If anything, it's the other way round - being too fit and having strong dynamic muscles puts too much strain on the ligaments and causes them to go a la Keano, Overmars, Pires, Shearer, Ronaldo, RVN and Jonny Wilkinson.

Generally agree with the rest of what you're saying tho - Ando needs to start delivering consistently or move on. Tho' the best thing he did in a Utd shirt for me was make Stevie Me look like a passenger when we doubled the Scouse in 07/08 <ok>

I'm sure that the commentator during the match said that Pogba had signed a pre-contact with Juventus. As far as I could tell (had a few), he was suggesting that it was surprising that only now is SAF giving him a game. Can anyone definitively say that he is staying? It would be wierd if we were giving him games and he was going anyway.

The commentator also said that Pogba was coming on, we now have something to talk about.

Quite possible he was exaggerating for effect.

I heard that too. Commentator also questioned why he was being played now if it were the case

Sounds daft if true, but somehow doubt it

unless appearances means bigger fee <laugh>
