I was reading Ed's NUFC blog and some of the posters on there are saying we should sack Pardew. I can't believe it, sacking managers does no good and it makes the club unstable. As long as we survive, I will be happy, and Pardew needs to be given AT LEAST the whole of next season with his own players and a full summer of preparation before we can even begin to question him!

    Rant over :) <badger>

Pardew would appear to be Mike's long term manager (as Hughton was sacked) but we'll see the extent of backing Pardew will receive based on the financial input he'll have available this summer.

Too early to say get rid and with a full pre-season with the players he wants he needs another season to see if he's got it right.

Read anything mate, this has the most level headed toon fans i have seen! I dont even bother with reading comments on the Chronicle/Journal or any blogs/forums now. Everywhere is full of stereotypical toon fans.

Makes me think, are we the minority? I thought we were of the same thinking as most... Depressing if we are.

Regardless of the run in we have, providing we stay up, I will not be Judging Pardew anytime soon! He needs (fingers crossed) financial backing in the summer and if that comes then I will judge him at the end of next season once he has had a (still only) a small amount of time to stamp his own mark on the team.

Its the people that are calling for his head already that make us look like idiots, cos they are the ones the media and other clubs quote when talking about us!! Total douchebags! I bet half of them haven't even been to SJP before.

I have given up on NUFCBlog.com because it is too speculative and negative!!

They boil my piss. The club needs an extended period of stability, and any manager needs to be given time and some cash to show what he can do. What good would sacking Pardew do? and who do they think that we would get in to replace him, Jose Mourinho??

In all honesty Pardew isnt good enough and never was good enough to be manager of Newcastle United, his past record speaks for itself, but since hes came I have warmed to him, I liked some of his ideas on the pitch and I think he conducts himself well in interviews, I wouldnt get rid of him because thats NEVER the answer, but being honest we deserve better. Thats not me being fickle, thats just fact.

    Better than JFK anyway.

Every manager in the world will have had/will have a time when people do not consider then good enough.

It is up to him to prove himself good enough.

Man United fans wanted rid of Ferguson early on in his reign. Bet they are ****ing glad he stayed now!

There would be no point in sacking Pardew now. I think he has done quite well considering the lack of resources available. And he has got a fair amount of points, and given us what looks like some stability (at last).

Sack Pardew? Is it any wonder rival fans label us 'fickle'? <doh>

An important part of success on the pitch is the relationship between player and manager. Our players have not been able to trust the man in charge because after about a season they know they're going to be sacked.

Pardew needs time to form a strong bond with the players, they seem to like him so far but for the sake of squad unity, he needs to stay in charge for the long term.

Pardew has won 4 out of 15 games, this is clearly not good enough, given what Hughton wsa sacked for, personally I couldn't give a toss after the last 2 embarrasments if he was sacked. Things are getting worse not better.

I know it's tough to get over what happened to Hughton, that was incredibly unfair but for the sake of the club, we HAVE to get behind Pardew. We need stability and we won't get that if we're constantly comparing Pardew to past managers.

Sack him and get who? This will confirm to any half decent manager that this is the ultimate poisoned chalice of football management and no one even as good as Pardew would take over, not a ****ing chance. With the strikers at our disposal, 4 wins out of 15 is acceptable until further investment.

Knee jerk reactions from people looking for any reason to hate Pardew, he wasnt playing against Stoke.

The guy is a liability, 3 centre midfielders against Stoke, we needed that like we need James Perch playing, the football the last 2 games has been very poor, Everton should won 4-1 and would have done if it hadn't been for Harper, and playing wing backs was always playing into Stoke's hands.

Who do you expect will take the job who is better? No one, sacking is not an option.

Yes but a sane, good manager might take the Villa job. No one will manage us.
