I think it's good to support the local team, but you can get turned. My ex was an Arsenal fan, so I supported them as well. Then I took my son to see Man U at the Dell and the rest is history; we're both Saints through and through. I look out for Arsenal's results and want them to do well, but they have no power to hurt me. Only Saints can cause me pain.
Ill never give up my arsenal roots regardless. I honestly think though that everyone who supports who ever should get out there and support the local team. Now a days there are so many fans of the big clubs that have NEVER even been to the city let alone the ground!! My cousin for example lives in colchester, has never been to manchester yet is a man utd fan????? I ask him why he doesnt follow colchester to which he replies "there ****". Plastic twat!!!
Supporting your local team is what football is all about, I would not support any other team than the gills, It is my local team I live near the ground and I love them and that is what football is all about.
Couldn't agree more. Plastic fans all over the country but how many have actually seen their supposed club play live and not on the box?
probably not many! Im a regular at the emirates but especially midweek when its not always possible to get there on time, i head down to London road to cheer on the posh.
