Please explain to me what is wrong with someone investing money in a football club, I think you will find most clubs are owned/run by "rich blokes" as is yours, I think your problem is that our "rich bloke" is a lot richer than yours. The FFP will go away, especially now that PSG are rich. I can understand, after being at the top so long, your fear of being overtaken but you could always start supporting your hometown team!

I'm obviously aware of the Edwards family.

I don't particularly have a problem with City having money or were it has come from - it's hardly the fans fault and who can blame their fans for enjoying it.

My problem is with the fair weather City fans which have started popping up from nowhere- something I know even pisses most City fans off.

I don't want City to be successful just because they are City. Not because they have suddenly got money. However I don't particular like what it has done to the game but they aren't the first new money club and they won't be the last.

Thanks for your honesty, I feel much the same, but wait until you've had 20+ years of the glory hunters, they are like rats you are never more than a few feet from one!

There are two types of city fans.

The first is the type you can have friendly banter with and actually talk about football.

The second is the bitter twisted knob-head who turns up at the pub when United are on expressly to wind up, insult and laugh when we're loosing but chokes on his rage and has a hissy fit when we turn it round.

You sound like the second type.

You asked whether the money United spent was FFP. Yes it was as it was the club's money. Simple as that. Perhaps not simple enough for you you simpleton.

Manchester City needs to keep the points between United and them to maximum of two before they meet on 30 May.Going into this game if city is more than 2 points behind United, United are going to play for a draw. United are also catching up on goal difference. The winner of this game may not necessarily be crowned champion.

Yes your money belongs to the owners and the bank and in my opinion should be spent how you like, my question was why are so many people getting upset when our owner does the same? no personal insult at this time!

City are like the lotto lout.

Sure they have some undeserved cash and think they deserved it, but their still classless bitters underneath and like aforementioned lout it won't be long until they are back where they belong.

Better start cutting that wage bill, what is it 115% of you're income?

    Tick-tock.

To be fair if city didnt have there money we would currently be walking the league, i would rather it be a challenge it will be a great achievement if we hold onto the title this year.

    Love this thread

    City..

First season together for a few of these players, too many for it to go seamless.
    Teves issues
    Bad issues
    ACoN issues
    Injuries like everyone else
    Suspensions like everyone else
The odd dodgy game like the others at the top
A completely new set-up when compared to United Arsenal for continuity.

Not excuses but reality. I think they are doing well considering they are not a team of big start, they have some but a fair few not so great too.

To buy the same squad 10 years ago would have cost a fraction, United were paying big bucks when bucks were big and not the funny money it is now. Ferdinand Veron n co, they wanted shearer and would have got him for under 15m if he wished ot go from blackburn to united, a player of that cast would now have a 200m buyout clause in his contract. United didnt have to fork out for Keane Giggs Beckham Nevilles the great dane and the list goes on and the fact that a lot of those stayed for the majority or all of their career meant the spending was always going to be low over that period yet it is perceived as good transfer dealings, bollox, because they happened into the best group of youngsters in England ever to come on together and some quality additons when players were cheap, Keane Cantona and co, it was always going to be spend on few positions with most of the quality provided by long term reliables that cost fk all, so I am tired of the city money bollox, any team with cash gets ripped off.

Every time one goes they are less a force, Giggs still popping up to get a 90th min winner ffs. When Giggs and Scholes are 2 of their best 4 players you know the above is true, it is not a criticism of UNited, but a slap in the face of that same old bull**** that they've not spent so much because they were clever in the market.

City went and replaced a lot of players and are sitting 2nd with their fate in their own hands, where are all the UNited falling apart threads, they've been second for yonks ffs, there are absolutely no similarities between 2009 and 2011\12 Liverpool Man City seasons. Especially if City go and win their remaining games

City have been stumbling for a good while now and are going to have to come up with a way to stop it soon as United will continue to grind out results.
