Granted, Downing made a slow start, but, rest assured, in the recent weeks his class is starting to shine through. It takes players a while to settle into a club the size of Liverpool, learning to cope with the expectation etc takes time. Hence the reason (when all the players are settled) LFC will be a major threat next year, expect a couple of big signings in the summer.
