To be honest mate I don't think we knew what to think.......a great many of us were still working out what the hell had happened to Pardew and were still stunned. Although Pardew had his critics that's for sure! I think it took a few days for the whole thing to sink in. His first time in charge was at MK dons on a Wednesday which we lost. I think then we played Millwall on the Sat at home but only got a draw I think. We've never looked back. A lot of us knew of NA's growing reputation at Scunny but I think in the main we just got down to backing him right away....the rest is history!

Can't look any further than Lambert, he knows where the net is, something we have missed from Becchio this season.

For my generation West Ham will always be the team of Bobby Moore, arguably the greatest player to ever pull on an England shirt. That team didn't win much silverware, but they were a joy to watch. They've had some good teams since - the Brooking era for example. The current regime has betrayed the West Ham spirit.

Morning all, Lambert or Lallana for me <ok>

I think its Reading & Saints for Autos this year. The play offs with or without us is going to be very tricky with a hell of a lot riding on the outcome. West Ham & Birmingham need to go back up ASAP (as well all do, but financially these two are going to struggle)

Wheres Jen? Havent seen her post for a while

The funny thing about Millwall is,

I actually built a Den when I was growing up that could fit all the wall supporters in :)

Morning ellandback. Warnock is certainly enjoying his honeymoon period. The game at Elland Road was probably the first time this season I was thinking "someone start the team bus". Warnock didn't know how we got away with it (paraphrasing a bit) and he was right, it was clear then that Leeds would have a good end of the season. To be honest I spend half the time thinking Warnock is a great manager and the other half thinking he is the biggest prat in football, maybe he is a bit of both.

When Nigel joined there was a lot of unhappiness, not because of him but because most supporters were angry about Pardew's sacking and losing something like four games in a row under Dean Wilkins. So I think generally it was quite welcomed as we were in the League 1 relegation zone at that point. There weren't many other good names floating around and his track record at Scunthorpe was pretty good. But no one expected him to take us to where we are now, so great credit has to go to Nicola for making that decision.

Morning all. Lallana & Lambert please. League is now getting very interesting. We won't make auto, but we're clearly going to have a say in who will given who we've still got to play. Hammers on Saturday with them now out of auto suddenly takes on a whole new level of importance. Bit annoyed now that I'm not going. Should be a very good game.

On the subject of 2nd teams, I'd go for Spurs & the Hammers. Both have a history of bringing through youth & playing footy in the right way. The Hammers side of the mid 60s might not have won as much as others, but they did win the world cup!!!

Leeds to win 2-1 on Saturday.

    ----------

I think thats our problem a lot of the time, we expect to beat teams rather than earning the right!!

Warnock has brough excitement to the place we havent looked as organised in years simple things look simple rather than how difficult it looked under Grayson. My only problem is that Grayson (who I think did a great job) shouldve been sacked after Barnsley giving a new manager time, even after Grayson was sacked we dithered about and let redfearn **** up 2 out of the 4 easy games I believe if Warnock had have come in straight away we would be 6-8 points better off.

Morning all if only one Lallana only because we have Becchio, Somma and McCormack and while they are not as good as Lambert they are closer to him than anyone we have got being able to touch Lallana.

I hope Saints go straight up and I am sure they will, firstly because they deserve too. Many doubted they could stay the distance, I always felt they would. Secondly it will show tits like Ken Bates what you can achieve if you back the manager and when I say back him I don't mean throw millions to be wasted aka Leicester. Adkins has been backed sensibly, when January arrived who did they get, Sharp have we heard of problems with offering key players wages or renewed contracts NO.

Reading is my second team to go up, they have a good manager, they were unlucky last season and although I can't see them staying in the Premier League I would like to see them promoted. I also feel IF we are lucky enough to scrape the playoffs we will have more chance beating the others than Reading.

Hull did a good job on Cardiff yesterday, is that the end to their lack of firepower in front of goal or was it just one of those nights where everything ticked? I am hoping it was a one off otherwise they will be hard to beat with their defence should we make the top 6.

Once Reading and Southampton are out of the way any of the teams from 3rd to 10th are still in with a shout. If Leeds miss out it is just another season in this division for us, you get the feeling Birmingham and West Ham need escape far greater for financial reasons and I wonder if that added pressure will weigh too heavy for them.

    <yikes> that's news to me! <laugh>

I developed a soft spot for Saints but only because Lambert's been so good to me on Texaco footy but if they go up then it''ll be another striker next season. <ok>

This Saturday the best result for me would be a high scoring win for us with Ricky boy bagging all their goals
