Not a very original thread or a long read but do you think he will keep going or give it up?

Depends on how he feels or if he's wanted, if he's not losing out to inferior teams regularly Brawn will probably want to keep him.

If the car deliver progress enough to be able to fight for podiums I can't see why he wouldn't want to stay. He only needs 8 more wins(I think) to reach a century :p

If he leaves the team, it will be because he wants to leave - not because Mercedes want him replaced. So if Mercedes can prove that they've made a big step forward this year, maybe Schumacher will re-sign in the hope that he could win races in 2013 and beyond.

He's too selfish to do the decent thing and retire. he's a liabilty to that team. shame, the car may be decent, but the drivers are pants,

Nah this will be Schumi's retirement year but I reckon he will get on the podium at least once this year. Lewis can bring in the same money as Schumacher and would cost less I would of thought and you would get somebody with a shelf life of at least 10 years, not 1-2.

    Lewis-Nico for 2013 I reckon.

No, I dont think so. I would imagine after another average season feeding in scraps in the top 10 and not bettering Rosberg, I think he will retire into an honary role within the team. IMO, it will be Lewis's seat.

If Schumacher leaves (and I don't think he will), I can't see anyone other than Hamilton replacing him.

Hmm, I reckon Di Resta stands a good chance, and Kovalainen as an outside bet.

If Mercedes take a step forward this season, and early tyre problems notwithstanding it looks as though they will, I think Hamilton would jump at the move simply by process of elimination. He's hardly going to join Alonso's team, and Red Bull would be a massive risk for him and them alike.

And if Hamilton wants the move, he'll get it. No doubt about it.

Do I want him to, no, do I think he will, distinct possibility, if he doesn't who will replace him, Hamilton or di Resta.

Thtas my logic. I cant see him staying at Mclaren with JB, not because equal status and competition..... b ut just purely down to the fact that he needs to be in ateam where he can total enough to compete for the championship. I just cant see either Lewis or jenson winning a WDC as team mates and if they do, then fair play it will be well deserved.
