I think the Welsh league clubs would love it if Cardiff and Swansea were back in the Welsh Cup, as it would be a huge pay day for them especially if it is a QF or SF. I cant see either of the senior sides opting for this, if we/us do opt to take part in it, then that will be ammunition for the FA to question our rights to be in the current league set up, to conclude it is pure fantasy on behalf of the FAW, why dont they just let us back in anyway no strings attached, it would bolster a cup that has had little meaning since the early/mid nineties.

This is one thing I will agree with if it’s at the potential expense off our league status then it’s a massive no go.

Anyhow all changed and ready to go COMON THE CITY!!! 3 more points please

Thing is with Swansea going all out to maintain premiership status, and Cardiff going all out to get promoted to The premiership,if they were in The Welsh cup this week, how many first team regulars would the respective managers risk. Answer not many if any at all so it would devalue the cup. So let the teams who need it more than us or Cardiff have it and the best of luck to them

Vetchetarian, you are highlighting your own inadequacies. You have cherry picked a comment and have not offered anything regarding the threads discussion point.
If you want to discuss fantasy create a thread, do not hijack another thread. What is pathetic about the post? I informed you why I want your comments removed.

One correction to that, it will give you a UEFA Fair play place IF England are one of the 3 highest placed national associations

Swansea and Cardiff could see it as a way to get players match fit and blood youngsters but not at the cost of losing a place in the FA or Carling cups.

We seem to be doing OK in the 'big cups', why take a backward step.

Is it optional year on year or a 'one and done'? Could we opt in next year and opt out the year after?

If we are in the Championship next year we could tee up a european spot while trying to get promoted without cup distraction. If we got promoted me may want to be in the FA and CArling cups.

By the way, the carling cup is currently of no interest to Merthyr, Colwyn Bay, Wrexham or Newport as they aren't in the top 4 divisions.

Seems more fuss than it's worth. Lets stay as is.

If this is a firm proposal then the people responsible should be removed from office. We are part of the English pyramid system and as such are eligible to enter their competitions.
This is a feeble attempt by the FAW to add some value to the Welsh Cup. A competition that they have ruined.

No brainer really. The Swans and Cardiff shouldn't touch this with a bargepole.

No disrespect meant to the clubs in the league of Wales but if either club took it seriously they would wipe the floor with any Welsh league side. The Swans are Premier League, Cardiff are knocking on the door of it and the FA and Carling cups are much more lucrative too.

We must stay where we are and the same goes for Wrexham and Newport too.

"Remind me how did you and Blackpool get promoted or is all that a dream thank you and good night. I am off to share some real football chat with fans who know what they are on about"

I can remind you, Blackpool got promoted by beating Cardiff city in the play-off final.
Swansea city got promoted by beating Reading in the play-off final, who beat Cardiff city in the previous round . thought you would have known this?? ;)

FAW are bunch of tossers, they have done nothing for clubs like Swansea,Newport,Wrexham and Myrther. We should keep well out of anything those idiots ever dream up <ok>

If you want Vetch to get modded you have to visit the Sunderland board and speak to hissing syd, he seems to be the swans moderator for some reason <laugh>
personally i see nothing wrong with Vetch's comments, his response was fair, a few are like a bunch of hyper sensitive women on this thread <ok>

Route to Europe. why, cant you read properly ?

My views on this thread are written underneath, ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer <ok>

The problem here and its quite clear to see, is that anything slightly off balance is taken with great insult by some bloobs, its almost like you dont really want to debate anything just wait for a chance to snipe and start name calling, very sad by some bitter bloobs .

The thread is about a route to europe, vetch and you are trying to make cheap shots when a decent debate was in the offing. **** all about being sensitive more to do with trying to get something meaningful going. There is a banter thread for cheap shots so use that. I rarely post joint threads but thought I'd give it a go but clearly you can't be treated like adults.
In future I'll leave it as you and your like cannot enter into reasonable debate, it's a shame for the decent Swansea fans who entered into the spirit of this thread but hey ho every circus has its clowns.

I only commented on this thread because it was on both forums.
It is difficult posting anything in response to a bloob post.
They are so inferior in their behaviour, and attitude, always looking for something that isn't really there,or isn't even remotely controversial.
I sometimes feel that they blame us for their plight.Such a sad bunch. No real sense of humour.
    I keep off their board.
If I breath too loudly they cry foul, generally behaving like small babies.

dont get me wrong i love my country and will support the LOW league all i can, i have watched neath twice and llanelli twice this season, but my point is the FAW shunned away from the idea of the exiles fielding a side in the LOW a few years back and now they want us in the welsh cup......WHY? i tell you why because even the top sides in the LOW cannot compete in europe without getting hammered and showing us up as a poor football nation.....If they need us that bad then let us all who are in the english pyramid system be allowed to enter a team in the LOW next season.....

You added nothing to the thread subject, if you want to be treated like a child crack on lad. Foolish of me to expect adult behaviour from some heh. We all have fools in our midst but that doesn't mean we all have to act the fool.

    "every circus has it's clowns".

As the great John Toshack once said before a game against Cardiff,"Send in the clowns". He got that right, and he would know.

I see you are 0-2 down to Hull, promotion getting closer still!!!
