Are you happy with Danny Simpson?

  1. I love Simmo. I think most of his performances are top class and usually he's one of the stand out players.

But seeing as Ferguson is coming along well, and worrying about a replacement LB for Enrique is less crucial, do you reckon we could sign a better RB?

We all had concerns if he could hack it at this level and he's shown that he can.

Still young and his game is developing. I'd look at better back up for his position but that's it.

Danny is doing very well, he will be a legend.

I would love to see him get a call up for England but Capello will stick with the old guard.

Simmo will be quality for club and country in time

Often caught out of position and seems to be allergic to staying with his man, but is improving on from last season and hoping he will cut this out in time, adequate for the moment.

I will be getting Simpson 12 on my shirt next season so does that answer your question?

I think RB is where we need to worry about least this year.

Simmo is coming along greatly, only really had a couple of bad games defensivley so far this year.

He's not the best RB going forward in the league but he's got a decent cross on him, if we improve up front next season we'l see him with a few more assists hopefully :)

As much as I liked him during his time here I think he's lost it at Villa.

Simpson is doing great at RB and developing nicely. I love the guy and he's English, on low wages and underrated. One of my favourite players and I hope we give him a nice 5 year contract next season and have some continuity there.

I don't think we've solved the LB problem in anyway shape or form. I don't think Ferguson defended particularly well, we got beat 4-0 so none of them defended particularly well, yes great going forward (and yes was playing more as a wing back), Simmo will be fine though.

If we retain Enrique this summer then Tavernier and Ferguson could be RB and LB cover in a season or two, just need someone versatile with a bit of experience to cover those positions until they're good enough IMO.

I think Ferguson would only ever be an adequate left back but could be a very decent left winger. Don't want to get into the habit of playing good young players out of position.

And we don't need another right back. Centre back yes.

Simpson's done a good job for us since he came in and is several times better than we had before him, not to mention any names. Having said that, the best Perch has done for us was at left back.

    This

For me Ferguson is a winger and not a left back. He looked great going forward on Saturday and we saw his pace and skill - beat players with ease.
